Gunfreezone is a blog I read everyday. In the recent past, they have been allowing a person that is what I would call a liberal light. Kind of like the Coors light of lefties. Anyhow, today’s post from that particular blogger goes on and on about how the left doesn’t condone the actions of those who attack people for their opinions. I disagree. Not only do they condone it, they actively participate.
I had an opinion that I expressed on social media and a deranged leftist threatened to go after my job. Then she sent her online minions to spam this website, and tried to get me removed from Twitter. leftie tried to dox me and end my career for merely stating an unapproved opinion. Then tried to get my blog shut down.
Coming after my blog, after my job, trying to get me doxxed? All of that is no different than tearing down a Fag Flag. The post over there ends with:
When people on the Left and the Right stay silent over actions like this, over burning American flags, Gadsden flags, rainbow flags, over threats of violence and disruption of business, they are tacitly telling their friends and family that it’s okay. They are saying that they won’t step in, that perhaps they’re even supporting such actions. Certainly in the minds of the few twisted individuals who break and murder innocent people, that silence is interpreted as support.
Stand up against this kind of (expletive erased). I don’t care who does it. I don’t even care what their reason is. Stand up against it, and stop it from happening. I don’t want the next flag owner who is shot to be you, or me, or someone I know and love.
So explain to me how what that woman did to me was any different than standing outside of another person’s business and screaming invectives. The left’s continued support for cancel culture and getting people fired for expressing political opinions is going to have but one logical solution- violence. The people that are losing their livelihoods, businesses, and property are going to respond with violence.
Don’t pretend to be a victim when you are counterattacked during a war that you started.

Because it’s totally different when they do it. That is the whole of their position. They are incapable of experiencing dissonance in the cognition, their minds are defective and they don’t even attempt to resolve the obvious double standards, much less acknowledge it. Further, it’s all your fault.

I, too, saw that at GFZ and had a serious “WTF?” moment. There’s been some rather questionable posts within the last 3 months that makes me wonder if the good people at GFZ really are for gun free zones, instead of gun-free zones.
The Left has always used violence of thought and action far more than even the radical nut-job right-wing loonies. From bombings to shooting of political figures to physical and emotional attacks on family members, the Left is far far more prone to violence.
Name me a president who was shot by a right-winger. Name me a leftist person banned by social media and fired and cut off from their bank accounts and had their families attacked the same way.
The sound of crickets is ear shattering.

Question all you want, that is an overriding principle of my blog. If you want Chest-Thumping One-Sided monolithic Propaganda, then waste no more of your time with us.
Through the years I have stated that my goal was not to convince the die-hard Liberal but use the discussion to bring those not in the fence and those not firmly committed to see our side of the argument and then make a decision. Hell, even when I discuss bills proposed in a legislature or Congress, I tell you straight up NOT to trust my comment but to read the bill yourself and then comment whether I am right or wrong.
I do not do echo chambers. I had disagreements with my fellow co-authors but the agreement was that they get to speak their mind. I have changed initial positions through over 15 years of Blog existence because things change, and people learn. That is the nature of the blog.

Even when we disagree, we can still respect one another. It was Ronald Reagan who said (and I’m paraphrasing) that a person that disagrees with you 20% of the time is still an ally.
I still respect the guys over at GFZ and consider them to be friends and allies, even when we don’t agree.

No. I was making a point that there are leftists who have no qualms with wiping their ass with the right’s version of the rainbow flag. Imagine if a business displayed a rebel flag or a Nazi flag. How would the left react?
The woman who threatened me was named and identified on this very blog. She was not associated with any other blogger that I am aware of.

My first reaction was to balk at that. “I’m sure most people on ‘the right’ wouldn’t be displaying a Nazi flag”….but then it hit me.
My grandfather-in-law…he had a collection of Nazi stuff from World War II. When I was young and dating my wife, he had a “display room” in his house that showed everything from flags, coins, and plates, to weapons and (I’m assuming) inert grenades.
When he passed away a few years ago, the family had to figure out what to do with all the “Nazi shit” in his storage container. He no longer had a display room….he had a storage container. Why?
Well…I can only guess, but I think it’s probably accurate….in this day and age, the “tolerant left” wouldn’t have even bothered to figure out that he collected historical artifacts…they would have instantly judged, and executed him for his hobby.

I stop by GFZ every several days, only one I really like reading is Miguel. The rest I either ignore or quickly skim. Since he reads here, I’ll save the rest of my comments, trying to be nice. Anyway, I saw that post and what it reminds me of most is the current trend of libtards who are calling for a “covid amnesty”. If you’re familiar with the “covid amnesty” BS, then nothing more needs to be said.
As to her particular example, I’m sure there’s more to the story and no, I don’t endorse killing people for a flag. That particular example is an aberration and to attribute that to the conservatives who for years have been forced to ignore the growing cancer in our society is not morally honest.
But in keeping with Miguel’s comment above, please, let them speak their mind. Just don’t expect us to agree.

It’s interesting that many people are of the opinion that remaining silent on an issue equates to supporting same. Not yelling and screaming and carrying on over something means “it’s okay.”
The progressives are afraid of the silence. They want to keep pushing and taunting people so they persist with the transgender garbage and the climate lies and so on.
However, when things are quiet — when there is silence — beware.

Given that she is a liberal, it is VASTLY more likely that she is deliberately gaslighting, not genuinely ignorant that her fellow liberals openly celebrate every time one of their comrades tortures or murders a conservative.
That same author also previously did a post about how she feels ‘threatened’ by the way some on the right talk about liberals and the politicians they support. Because it’s not like her side says things 100x worse every single fucking day or anything.

That blog has become unreadable. Between the left wing loon referenced in your post and the TDS on display(no, I don’t belong to a cult nor do I agree with everything Trump has done). I can get that crap by reading CNN or Fox.
