THROATUS claims that she will sign an executive order in her first 100 days that will require Americans to turn in their guns, because Congress won’t act.

  1. If Congress won’t act, there is no Constitutional way for the President to just order people around
  2. The President can’t violate the Constitutional rights of Americans with an EO
  3. Even if she COULD do so, where will the money to enforce this unfunded mandate come from?
  4. There are 600 million guns in this country. There aren’t enough cops to enforce such an order
  5. Especially when cops stop volunteering after a few thousand get shot
  6. We aren’t turning in shit

Nope, it’s true no one is ever coming door to door to grab guns. They don’t have to. The feds will simply outlaw guns and…leave them in place. They aren’t worried about guns that are buried in your backyard rusting away, or hidden in your attic collecting dust.

The gotcha moment comes when three or four blacks break down your door and you have to ventilate them. Then the government has a field day on your ass. “How did you kill these guys with guns you aren’t allowed to have, HMMMM?” You disappear into federal prison for life.

There will be a few examples made, perhaps a few very public and vocal progun activists’ home will spontaneously blow up (“he had a secret meth lab that exploded,” the CNN anchor will say on the news).

Having said all that, this statement by Harris is a real dumb ass move before an election, and it will turn off a lot of independents IF the Republicans publicize it all over the place. They probably will ignore it since they want to lose the election anyway.

So, if you know you are facing a life sentence in prison why would you ever go quietly? Sure they can kill me or my best friend but imagine in 50 people had this plan. Or 500 or 5000. After a few hundred law enforcement casualties I think the politicians will have trouble finding people to do their bidding.

Let’s say there really are 600 million guns in the country. I personally lean more toward 8 or 900 million, but we can never know. The term I’ve heard is “mandatory buy back” which means they pay something for every gun. Not a coupon for some local donut shop like the local “buy backs,” but something real.

Add that to the cost. $100 per gun? Who’s selling their Ebil Black Rifle for $100? The most worthless gun I own, which I keep because it was my dad’s, I wouldn’t sell for that same reason. Even paying a piddling $100 per gun makes that $600 billion before the cost of doing it. $1 trillion?

Where does that come from? They turn on the (metaphorical) printer and create it out of thin air. Instantly, another round of inflation hits and the people saying they can’t afford groceries now can’t afford the gas to get to the grocery store.

She’s appealing to the Demanding Mommies and the people who can’t think ahead one move. It’s all about justifying votes from the brain dead.

I think they’d need to pack the Supreme Court first, because I think in its current configration it already demonstrated that such broadside actions will not be approved. For this they need what? 50% or 60% in both chambers of Congress? But also something else, like a majority of state legislatives, right?

Current polls certainly don’t warrant such hopes. And the candidate is less than exciting, to put it delicately. So that means that they would have to have something really big in their pockets just before the election.

You could argue that a big scale cheating would do, but a big scale cheating that goes against the polls won’t suffice – this time the Supreme Court might be incentivized enough to annul the results.

So they have to skew the polls first. There’s no time to do this gradually. Which means it would have to be one big action.

Hard to believe the standard has been set to this.

The US is no longer under the rule of law, much less the constitution, we’er in a state of lawlessness, spicy times are coming our way.

Unfortunately it probably won’t be an out-right confiscation going door-to-door.
It’ll be a traffic stop where you’re alone and they notice you still have a gun.
It’ll be you verses 15 cops.
Or they’ll wait until you’re at work and no one is home, then ransack your house looking for them.
If they’re willing to blatantly violate the second amendment, they’ll ignore other amendments to obtain what they want.

    Divemedic · July 31, 2024 at 9:04 am

That only works a few times before people catch on.

One must ask themselves “WHY are they so desperate to get guns away from law abiding citizens” ?
Answer, they are secretly Marxists and want all power to themselves. Those guns (as the Founding Fathers wanted) are the “insurance policy” to protect against this. Look at Maduro and his openly trying to steal the election in Venezuela right now. If those 10s of thousands of people protesting were all ARMED, it would be a different story. Look at the Bundy Ranch a few years ago, the government openly tried to steal their ranch and it was only because all of the ARMED patriots that helped the Bundys that the Feds backed off.

Kamala Harris is showing who she really is with this and I pray she never becomes President.

What I find most insulting is the stupid terminology.

“Buyback?” You didn’t sell them to me in the first place.

“Turn in?” I turn in things to those who are owed them. I turned in homework when I was a student and turn in reports to my boss. I don’t “turn in” my own property.

    Divemedic · July 31, 2024 at 10:40 am

A mandatory “buyback” where you are given a pittance for your “turned in” property is nothing more than confiscation.

The Southern Nationalist · August 1, 2024 at 9:53 am

Being a law abiding citizen, the law states that in order to purchase a firearm one must be of good moral character and have no criminal or mentally unstable background.
Since the government fails at these requirements I can not legally sell my firearms to them.

IcyReaper · July 31, 2024 at 12:19 pm

You are spot on with #6. But you miss the point with executive orders. Presidents, doesnt matter the party anymore, have become defacto kings the last 25 years ruling by decrees. Congress has abdicated their jobs to bureaucrat’s and the current idiot in chief. So they get away with whatever they want now.
As to the word I keep seeing around, something about a Constitution? That paper was all used up in the Congressional shit house for TP and is now all gone.

She knows it will never fly…she’s just pandering to the willfully ignorant of her base and the media whores.

    Jonesy · July 31, 2024 at 11:28 pm

    This.

Even if she actually writes an EO, it can’t be enforced. As left as most of the government is, there are still enough judges that will issue an injunction. Now if they manage to win a couple more elections, maybe they could get enough critical mass to start doing what they want.

The F’n Soviet Union couldn’t confiscate all the illegal privately owned guns in their country in 50 years. But our Communists are so much better than theirs. :-/
Gun registration / surrender compliance rates for existing US State laws are below half of one percent (0.005) (New York, Illinois, etc).
The commenter who noted that the .gov will ban, then wait for your defensive use to make an example of you may be correct, but that type of action will almost demand a random local response, from someone who feels personally offended by it in some way.
The Left tries to make groups of people so that they can influence the leaders and change the direction of the group.
Unfortunately, we’re individualistic.
I am trying to divert this madness in the small ways I can, because the only interim winners I see in an American internal conflict are the Lefts foreign owners and financiers. In the end, Americans win, because we work and work for America, but these F’n idiots have no clue that they are tap dancing in a powder room and think that it’s fine because it hasn’t blown up yet.
Yet.

Sign that “Executive Order” with all the fanfare you like Throatus. You will see those illegal rifles pointing your way before the ink is dry. Confiscation? Enforced turn ins? You will not find a cop, a sheriff, a constable, or a SWAT team hankering to start knocking on doors. Cuz nobody knows who, how much ammo, or any other particulars about those dang nabbit ornery guns. Could be the local town asshole or maybe the nice grandpa that sells apples. We would be in anytown territory of everyone is a terrorist. Okay-have it your way. By the by-you only think that cannons and machine guns were outlawed in 1934. Fact: Machine guns have been comprehensively regulated at the federal level since the 1930s, and the manufacture or importation of new machine guns for sale to civilians has been banned since 1986.(Notice-to civilians.) Some states, allow citizens to apply for “exemptions or have exemptions in place for some people:’

California
Louisiana
Massachusetts
Minnesota
New Jersey
Wisconsin

So, if you are special, even Throatus has to make some exemptions. It is a crazy world and we still are not giving up our boom sticks.

“You will not find a cop, a sheriff, a constable, or a SWAT team hankering to start knocking on doors” Seriously??? Come On Man!!! Ask Roger Stone about that. Ask the hundreds of J6ers, pro life protestors, etc who got the 4am SWAT team visit. Go through the archives of this very blog & you’ll find so many examples of the po-po crapping on the rights of citizens. Sad but true, the vast majority of the fuzz wouldn’t hesitate at the opportunity to sign up for time and a half since any door knocking would happen in the wee hours of the morning.

But I think more than likely there won’t be any large scale door knocking. Much easier to force compliance by locking down bank accounts, stopping any social security or other government benefits, shutting off off power, phones, internet.

The best – and last – opportunity to put a stop to this is to prevent it in the first place… at the ballot box. There are way, way too many “we’re not voting our way out of this” folks out there who won’t even spend five minutes filling out a ballot. That attitude is going to lead to gun confiscation more than anything else.

      Divemedic · August 1, 2024 at 7:37 am

I maintain that voting is now rigged to a certain extent, but maybe there is still some usefulness there. Voting costs nothing but a few minutes of your time, so why not?
However, it ultimately won’t matter. This nation is doomed, mostly because of fiscal irresponsibility. It doesn’t matter who you vote for, we are spending this nation into collapse.

JP In MI · August 1, 2024 at 8:54 am

Absolutely the vote is rigged. The commies probably have 20 million extra ballots obtained from illegal aliens and other illegal ballot harvesting mechanisms. They already know that most voters from our side won’t even bother to turn in their ballots (after all “there’s no voting our way out of this”) so the commies just predict where and how many of their illegals ballots are to be allocated. It’s up to our side to turn out in such extremely high numbers in order to overcome this cheating but unfortunately that’s unlikely to happen. Then court packing is inevitable and Kammie will get her gun confiscation.

As for the upcoming financial collapse… Just a matter of when / how bad vs who is in charge. If DJT somehow wins then perhaps it can be delayed & minimized. Either way you have the right idea getting off the grid!
