I was going through old posts, and I found a pretty funny one: How to simulate Paramedic life, from 2010. It’s pretty hilarious.
Have your mother-in-law write down everything she’s going to do for the day, then have her make you stand in the back yard at 7am and read it to you.

Play nice with the Boys-in-Buss.
When my late wife was fighting cancer, I kept organized with a daily sheet of medicarions. The routine meds had an “X” and space for the time. The PRN meds had room for the time. There wer over a dozen potentiol meds. The bottom of the page had physician contact information. When we had to call for EMS assistance, I’d take several copies of the data sheet and mark it up like the “live” page. [One for EMS, one for admitting, and one for the fllooor staff.] One EMS tech profusely thanked me for that sheet. A schedule chart makes life easier for everyone. It ain’t magic. The floor staff still screwed up the medication for my wife. Stay Alert! .
