Like virtually everything else that the Left does, “gun buy-backs” are a sham, a racket and would be illegal in any nation serious about upholding the law and more importantly, the Bill of Rights.

First, these “buy-backs” compel the owner of private property to “sell” his possessions; an act which is flatly illegitimate and illegal under numerous other laws. If you can be compelled to sell something it isn’t really yours in the first place.

Second, these programs use taxpayer’s money to make payments. Which is to say that money which already belongs to the taxpayers is being used to “buy” something from them, when it was theirs in the first place! Can you say “scam”?

Third, these programs are a violation of the Second Amendment.

All the gun-banners have done is put lipstick on the pig of gun confiscation, and then tried to tell you that it isn’t really a pig after all.

How? Briefly. Meme the other day: 555,227 WI citizens with shotguns and rifles took to the woods and killed 90,286 deer in 22 hours.

If gathered together, the deer hunters from Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota would comprise the largest standing army on the planet.

I’m sure the number of households willing to fight to keep their guns is a lot less than 100 million. but even if it was only 1 million or half that, I bet they’d run out of willing cops before they ran out of households. I hope the cops understand that if or when the revolution comes that the folks they get sicced on know where they live.

During the Iraq war, the insurgency included 40,000 hardcore fighters and more than 200,000 active fighters and volunteers including part-time fighters and supporters. Those forces fought the US military to a standstill.
All in a country the size of California.

The military should take heed to that also. I am sure markie mark kelli would be all in on the military taking guns away from US citizens, even if it was an illegal order. Commies think and do what commies want.

Let’s just say enforcing the ‘possession’ thing is a life sentence one way or another.

and they would count the $5k as income and charge you taxes on it…

Debate implies level-headed people using facts for persuasion.

Anything less is an argument and, in many cases, futile.

As I told my kid – you can’t have a logical discussion with an illogical person. And you can’t have a rational discussion with an irrational person.

They would try to confiscate until the thin blue line was red. If they continue, the .their families would begin to feel the impact of their badged member

Would they search every single household and vehicle in America? There’s a helluva lot of hiding places …

Even then, it just won’t get them all.
