Sleepy Joe continues to draw down the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in order to keep gas prices down. We are down to 359,000 barrels, which is the lowest it has been since 1983. Two thirds of our reserves are gone. We are almost out of reserves.

The question is: how much was released onto the open market in a cynical yet stupid ploy to avoid political fallout of bad policy, and how much was sold to hostile or otherwise foreign powers?

That line from Shrek springs to mind:

“Some of you may die, but that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make!”

I don’t think the SPR drain is an accident. Part of a bigger plan to destroy the united states.

5 years ago I had an interview to work at the SPR. I was told there was a long term plan to sell it all off and shut it down, similar to how the US sold off its helium reserves and shut down the plant for it.
Unfortunately I don’t remember the timeline for emptying the SPR.
