There are idiots that are wasting time in an effort to rename Florida’s Lee County into Bruce Lee County.

Y’know, if this is all shiny and distracting the UIs from things more serious, maybe it’s not a bad thing….

Hey, judging from the electorates’ past performance (see Nikki Fried for example), ya put that on the ballot and they’ll vote for it. Especially if there is legalized dope in the description somewhere. Golf clap for Lehigh Acres, home of oversized chrome rims on white SUVs, 30″ subwoofers, and year round Christmas tree lights on the overgrown Areca palms.

Yaknow, I figure once all traces of the “Civil War” are erased, then it never happen. Therefore, neither did slavery.

I like the way you think.

Yep, just in time for another civil war.

I’d rather have a Chuckocracy.
Chuck vs. Bruce is one of the best fights ever in Kung-Fu movies.
We used to have fun as youths overdubbing Kung-Fu VHS tapes with snarky dialog.
Meanwhile CCP is serious about conquering the world while we are busy erasing history and if race is a social construct, how is there any racism at all?

I honestly thought Lee came from leeward, the nautical or weather term. They’re on the leeward side of the state to the prevailing winds, so it fits.

I never thought of Robert E. Lee. Not that it’s any less stupid when you know it’s named after him. Has Bruce Lee ever set foot in the county?

Over here in Brevard, there’s a talk about changing the county name to something like Space Coast County. Equally insane.

Changing Brevard’s name is stupid. Totally stupid. But then again, we live in stupid times.

I don’t think they’ve thought that through. While Bruce Lee was assuredly a master martial artist, he had no illusions about the efficacy of firearms and owned a personal collection for self-defense.

One wonders, if Bruce Lee hadn’t died, would he have later gone on to be a major player, perhaps taking the role that Charlton Heston did in the NRA?
