I don’t have a problem with ultra-rich people buying a private island and turning it into a super lair. I do have a problem with them using tax dollars to do it, then making it off limits to the very public that paid for it.

They’re not very bright for super successful billionaires.
They’re all on one island. Makes picking targets pretty simple. Surely they have armed guards and all the fun stuff money can buy… but do you really think that will stop the redneck navy once the leash comes off? What happens if someone starts a fire on one corner? I mean, talk about shooting fish in a barrel!

Normalcy Bias. I say the same about the Billionaire doomsday bunkers. What happens when they decide that TSHF and head for the bunker, only to find that their security people and their families now live there?

I want to kick sand on their picnic just out of sheer principle.
As said above, full agreed.

An island you say? Hmmm, maybe drop off a few thousand Haitians there? After all, they’re used to being on an island and likely most of the current residents are big supporters of open borders, so would be a perfect fit.😉
