I wholeheartedly agree with Tim. The goal of the first CW was a national divorce. Let’s do it. We don’t even need a war. Let’s divide up and go our separate ways.

The geography of the divide doesn’t lend itself to divorce. It looks more urban/rural and even that doesn’t quite describe it. King Solomon couldn’t find a clever solution to this mess.

I fail to see the logic behind Walz and his posturing. Aside from distracting from the Fraud it serves no good purpose. He’s not running for re-election so that’s another concern. Nothing more dangerous than a man that has nothing to lose.

The CSA lasted 4 years. Tim Walz wouldn’t last 4 days. But the CSA had the right to secede the “voluntary” union (aside from that twit Lincoln), so should Minnesota (and others – but watch them scream when Federal money stops).
Secession would happen if those states were contiguous; isn’t practical now – but something has to be done short of a national police state which seems to be the alternative right now.
Just a loose and stray thought: what would happen if statehood was revoked and those states reverted to territories?

Lincoln had been told that sending the flotilla was a declaration of war. The commander of Ft. Sumter, upon learning about the ships being on route, wrote a letter (I forget if it was to his superior officer or A. Lincoln) stating that war had begun.

IIRC, the conviction was treason against the Star of Virginia.
Fun fact : Julia Ward Howe and hubby, among others, were financial supporters of John Brown, among others.

I don’t think there is enough of a spark here. The smoke screen the Dems are putting up is to distract from the fraud that’s been discovered. And the narrative is ICE is bad. Keeps the dumb angry, and news away from the real issue.
What happens if (hopefully when) Waltz, Ilhan, Ellison and the rest start getting indicted for being involved or worse, responsible for the fraud? Are the commie street animals gonna take it to the next level? Will they use arms against the government? That’s the spark where Trump will have to use the insurrection act.
