Is there any field in which leftist liberals don’t consider themselves to be experts?
Shutting down Venezuela’s air defenses are well within the capabilities of the F/A-18G Growler (there were 2 squadrons of them in the theater) and the F-35. Any air defense system that was turned on would have been jammed or destroyed. Likewise, communications would have been shut down by those same systems, as well as by cyber warfare, and no orders to fire on anyone could have been issued.
But tell us how Trump can only be successful by throwing money around.
It doesn’t matter how he won, Trump won. Cry like the little bitches you are, but this was a successful operation, and nitpicking every little thing about it just makes you look weak and whiny.

Interesting that it’s a Clinton judge in NY to run the “trial”. Is this nothing more than a way to claim Maduro was given a trial then let go? Seems most these type of cases end up in front of lefty judges – or is “lefty judge” redundant?

“Is there any field in which leftist liberals don’t consider themselves to be experts?”
Military affairs and history for one as illustrated. Firearms in particular is an excellent example. They don’t own any and even admit to knowing very little about them, but they deem themselves informed enough about them to form opinions about policy and then insist on inflicting those views on all of us.

I was wondering if we’d see that radar antenna get a missile though it. I’d like to see that – from a respectful distance, of course. Yeah, I designed radars, but weather radars, not systems like that.
When I see a post like hers I wonder if they’re starting to wake up to the ideas that missions like this are vastly more complicated than their simple notions. Which can lead to recognizing the complexity that was mastered to pull this off with none of our military being lost.

“There are many questions to be answered about Venezuela.”
Have you noticed how she assumes the position of the Venezuelan intelligence services in her line of suspicion? Like anyone owes HER these answers even if they were legitimate questions. Her rooting about for what happened here is based entirely on her sympathy for a Putin aligned Marxist regime. She should put those detective skills to use looking into the missing billions in Minnesota for us if she wants to play Nancy Drew.

It was my understanding that we used our electronic warfare systems including missiles that create a mini EMP. Maybe the Venezuelans shouldn’t have ordered their Chinese air defense radar from Temu. Likewise their armor.

It was an impressive display by the US forces.
I can’t help but think, however, that as you say, Maduro more likely than not got the “monkey models,” or export versions, of the Chinese and Russian hardware. So I have to wonder how effective the same tactics would have been against the full-capabilities versions.

I’d also imagine we had some SOT-A teams on the ground well in advance to have everything mapped out. I had a lot of fun during the cold war.

Doesn’t matter how well we pulled this off. USA INC. isn’t the World or Hemisphere Police.
The whole premise is illegal. Just some more bad Karma to put on our already staggering load.
Uncle Sam, and we, are going to get our head handed to us, on a platter, if we keep doing clearly evil shit.
With a ROBUST defence force, we could cut the WAR Department budget by 70-80% and still have the most advanced, wasteful, unreliable shit in the world.
Nobody has world domination “issues”, except Uncle Sam.

I look at it this way:
This raid wasn’t about Venezuela. It’s about resources. China has been busy cornering the market on all sorts of natural resources: rare earth metals, oil, and other strategic materials. If they are allowed to continue unchecked, once it is time to actually fight them, we won’t be able to. This raid wasn’t as much about drugs or Maduro- it was about keeping China from sucking up all of the oil from our own hemisphere.
It also had the added benefit of showing the Chinese and their Russian counterparts that their best air defense, radar, and communication equipment wasn’t worth a damn. That is enough to delay things like Chinese invasion of Taiwan. This keeps countries from crossing into the Chinese sphere of influence and is a worthy goal all on its own.

Great point. Just go back and look at what we were able to do in Iran. I do sleep a little better because of that.
Iran had the best of what Russia was willing to sell them, and we cooked their entire nuclear program in one (multi strike) swoop.
Unless we have terrible traitors (and I’m sure we do), the US will continue to own the sky. All the gutter cultures want to copy what the White man has been doing for a decade or two.
