The report was that the assassin was 300 to 500 yards from Trump, armed with a scoped AK type rifle. Both statements are likely true, but incomplete. Trump was on the 5th hole.
An aerial view of the course shows that the path from the 5th to the 6th holes goes within appx 30 yards from the street side of the course, with a lake on the side away from the assassins’ likely position.
300 yards with an AK is a long shot. 30 yards is a putt. This guy got way too close.
Other reports are that he is an older Leftist, a convicted felon, (possession of a machine gun in 2002), and a resident of Hawaii.
He likely waited at a distance where he could see Trumps’ detail leave Mar A Lago, because it was a good day for golf, drove to where he could see them arrive, and then set up on the most likely position for his attack.

And yet, all the leaders of the Democrats have called for violence against the right for the last 22 years.
The real catch-phrase was from Palm Beach County Sherriff who said Trump’s detail is still smaller than it should be.

Trump had his own security guys working alongside the SS when he was President. Where were they?
I don’t know what kind of security the golf course had before, but when he started using it as an alternate for Camp David for official meetings with foreign dignitaries, I would expect the entire area would have been wired to detect every time a squirrel farted, plus all likely sniper positions. What happened to that?
Note Trump’s personal security caught several incursions – that were announced – between 2020 and and early this year.

They must have been worried that the FBI wouldn’t be able to seize the security footage before it went public if they actually bothered to stop the guy.

Something about the “witness” who took pictures of someone, a vehicle, and the license plate outside the venue and presumably at a distance from the shots fired just doesn’t smell right.
Who is this person and why haven’t any details of this person been released?

Maybe because there is no such “witness”. The assassin was spotted on a security camera that covers the post office parking lot where he stashed his car. The area is ringed with security cameras.
They caught the car on a retrospective check of the cameras a few minutes after the SS drove the assassin out of his position. Pretty quick reactions and well done. They spotted the car later on I-95 Northbound with License Plate Readers and had a swarm of police officers move on him. They had police at every exit off I-95 for almost 100 miles north.
Turns out the assassin moved into place 13 hours earlier at his sniper nest and was waiting for Trump to arrive within range. Good catch by the advance SS patrol. Still way too close.
The scoped SKS rifle used by the assassin has an effective range of about 400 yards. Trump was likely within range when the SS patrol detected the assassin.
The SKS is a disturbing improvement in weaponry over the bargain-basement AR rifle used by the Butler assassin.

The big questions are these:
– how did a guy from Hawaii know where and when Trump would be golfing in FL? Apparently Trump’s decision to golf was a relatively short term plan. He had enough time to position himself for Trump to approach his location.
– did he travel with his gun from Hawaii to FL or buy it in FL? Both legal, but this guy apparently had a rap sheet…. any felonies? How did get his gun? He also spent time in Ukraine… how did he get a passport?
This guy was taken alive, so it will be interesting to see if we get info from him. Or does he get the Epstein treatment?

Just a few questions since this newest moron shooter has shown many times he just ain’t hauling a full load.
I question how he knew when Trump was golfing? Just the team leaving the house could have been anything. Just lunch at course grill could be another. But to know its golf and his tee time Or has the USSS allowed Trump to get into and stay in a known pattern? That’s scary.
And how did he know to set up on the next hole? The timing is way too close.
There are multiple reports on all kinds of info which always leads to confusion and that may be the plan again. 300-500 yards with a AK? Haven’t seen anything that says this guy was any kind of trained shooter, 300-500 yds with a AK is rough for a average or below average person without constant practice or training and still your only shooting big steel not precise targeting. Yea, the distance from hide to last hole he was playing was 30 yards which makes more sense and easier shot. A scoped AK? But the setup was 30 yards thru bushes? The last thing you want on a AK or even a AR at 30 yards is a magnified scope. Sounds like somebody’s .GOV armorer swapped weapons optics between this guy and the kid in PA and both got the wrong one…
I would love to see a full mapping of this like in PA, that will settle some questions and probably bring up many more.
Can someone explain to me why there is STILL NO drone sweep coverage of Trump? I sure they could get a 15 year old kid to do it for cheap, just so he could post it later on his Instagram as Trumps only protector. Jesus what a clown show. Why Trump allows the USSS to provide absolutely no fucking protection at all amazes me. Do it like Nixon did and say Fuck You and hire your own. You know the type: the ones who don’t fuck around, don’t breastfeed on duty and actually kill anything that’s remotely a threat….
Why cant the USSS hit a fucking target anymore? Let me guess it was the mom breastfeeding again. Cant draw or hold and fire a gun with just one hand? I have a pic of my grandma holding my dad in her arms along with a double barrel shorty in the other after just shooting a rattler on the porch.
But, last question and maybe the most important. Was this a real threat or was it another message to Trump that the state thinks he still doesn’t get it or wont agree to play along if they ALLOW him to win and they are saying, we are serious and can get to you. This suddenly happened again after he made a couple comments on doing investigations of a couple .GOV agencies. I’m a little surprised that they didn’t go after his family in a way to send a harder message. But They get this close again with idiots, what happens with a serious killer. Serious men don’t miss, don’t fuck up and don’t get caught.

Because, I am too old to believe in the astronomical coincidences that our wonderful FedGov hopes that we will swallow: the assassin sets up 12 hours before Trump’s party will play Hole #6; he’s got a rifle (conveniently, with a filed down serial number), a rifle in his possession–how?–considering that he has a felony conviction for possession of a FULL-AUTO rifle some years ago.
Neither the USSS nor the FBI (nor the ATFE) used their snappy, near-genius–investigative skills to nab the assailant. THAT break was provided by a citizen.
Darn! We now have to act against the perp ’cause a citizen stuck an actionable tip in their faces.
