Republicans: an open letter

There is a growing movement for you to side with the Democrats and vote to impeach President Trump. It will be impossible for any impeachment to take place before the end of his term. At this point, you are probably thinking that this is about support for Donald Trump. That is because you are fucking quisling fucktards that would sell your children into slavery, if it meant that you would have more money and power for yourself.

I am not a Republican. I couldn’t care less about you, your political party, or your personal ambitions. What I do care about is this nation, the freedom of its citizens, and the constitution that safeguards those freedoms. All things that you will sell out if it means your continued feeding at the public trough. I only allied myself with your party because we were nominally supporting the same goals. As soon as your party abandons those goals, we are no longer working towards the same result, and our temporary alliance will have run its course.

The only reason for you to do this is so that you can appease those who would take away those rights by ensuring that Donald Trump cannot run for office again. Meanwhile, you are sitting there appeasing those who are busy running roughshod over those who you are supposed to represent.

They have eliminated the right to vote by stealing the election. They are silencing those who complain, making enemies lists, and going after those who appear on that list. They are plotting to eliminate gun ownership, the right to petition for redress both through speaking in the public square and in the courts, and they are plotting to continue to have us locked in our homes.

Enough. If you do not grow a spine and defend this nation, I will never again vote for a Republican candidate. I won’t donate another dime to your party or candidates, nor will I counsel others to do so. With your lack of support for the President (who was selected by the voters of YOUR party) you ceased to be my ally.

This is fast becoming a war between this nation’s government and its citizens. You are on the cusp of becoming our enemy. Choose sides wisely, for I fear that I am not the only person who feels this way.

Order of Battle for National Guard

The current strength of the National Guard units in Washington DC is 15,000 personnel. That amounts to more than twice as many troops as are in Iraq and Afghanistan combined.

One of the states providing units to the Washington, DC Führerbunker is Pennsylvania, whose National guard is in possession of the US National Guard’s only Stryker brigade, the 56th Brigade Combat Team (SBCT). Here is a video of them pulling into a rest stop on their way to Washington, DC. (Note that the vehicles are all armed for combat, including mounting M-2 heavy machine guns.)

The units (as complete units or at least elements of those units) that I can identify as having been assigned to this mission are listed below:

The entire Washington, DC national guard

56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team

Troop B of the 102nd Cavalry Regiment

1-114th Infantry Regiment

 508th Military Police Company

229th Military Police Company

153rd Military Police Company

102nd Military Police Battalion

104th Military Police
Battalion

229th Brigade Engineer Battalion

160th Engineer Company

261st Theater Tactical Signal Brigade

198th Expeditionary Signal Battalion

1049th Transportation Company

 262nd Component Repair Company

108th Wing

177th Fighter Wing.

105th Airlift Wing

174th Attack Wing

166th Security Forces Squadron.

There may be other units, but this is what I have been able to find so far.

I wonder if she is still laughing

Back in early December, I forwarded an opinion

We are seeing a communist coup in real time. Remember how we all said that 2019 was awful, and how we cheered in 2020 because we just KNEW it was going to be better? My feeling is that there will come a day when we will look back fondly on the paradise that 2020 was.

Tam replied:

“communist coup”

MY. SIDES.

I wonder if she is still laughing.

They are afraid

Troop strength for the DC area is projected to be 10,000 within a week, and 15,000 by the time of the inauguration. They will be armed and authorized to use force. Remember that military use of force rules are much more broad than those used by civilians (including police). I would point out that this puts the number of US troops in DC to roughly the level of troops in Baghdad in 2003, when Bush visited the troops in Baghdad for Thanksgiving

The FBI is afraid that local and state police are sympathetic to the right. What this means, I don’t know, but coupled with the alert that all 50 state capitols are in danger from armed conservative insurrectionists, makes me wonder if we aren’t going to see a massive call out of domestic troops in the near future.

Road of bones

One of the things that has always scared the shit out of me is the communist habit of “disappearing” people. When I was a boy scout, my scoutmaster was a man who was born in the Soviet union. His parents smuggled him out hidden in the trunk of a car when he was a teenager. He never saw or heard from them again. They were taken, because the government found out that they committed the sin of smuggling their child to safety. Shot in the head, sent to a gulag. Who knows?

When the Soviets disappeared someone, they didn’t usually kill them. In fact, they usually didn’t, unless the killing was being used as a high profile example to drive a point home. It was much more efficient to make them work until they died and then use their bones to pave a road. One such road was the Kolyma highway- Stalin’s road of bones. That highway is 1200 miles long, and has a million people buried under it- or about one body every 6 and a half feet.

This is what communism has in store for those who oppose it. Go ahead, read all about it and look at the pictures. I spent my childhood hearing directly from a survivor of the terror that was communism. Greg was not only my scout master, he was a good friend of my parents. He was a short, round, hairy man with a loud voice and a hearty laugh. I’m sorry to say that he is dead now, having died 15 years ago, not long after my father. His eldest son is a homicide detective and hates communists with a passion. You can guess how he feels about the events of the past year. Greg’s younger son died about ten years ago.

I will never give in to communism. I know what it brings. Sorrow and death.
