If this is the precursor to such a blockade, it is an act of war. The US should respond by publishing photos of Chinese aircraft carriers that were obviously taken through the periscope of undetected submarines.

Not good. I’ve harbored doubts about 7th Fleet readiness since the Fitzgerald and McCain collisions. There’s little indication that our glorious leaders [/sarcasm] have the political will to commit to Taiwan’s defense. And distances and Pacific geography are in their favor.
If the balloon goes up, it’s going to be a long, tough fight, and I’m not convinced that we’d stick with it.

won’t be too long…we have no ammo, no rockets…our military is run by morons more concerned with putting ev’s in to battle and the rights of all the trannies in the military…we are a shell of what we once were…as a country and our military…

The reaction or LACK of reaction will tell a lot about China Joes situation.
China and Russia move, wait for reaction then move again.
Words mean nothing. China will approve what words the meat puppet’s handlers will speak.
Between the fed printing press feeding the floundering banks, the Ukranian Money Laundering fiasco and now Taiwan probably going to “allow” its self-back into China like Britan’s turnover of Hong Kong.
Oh, I forgot the Saudis have tossed the Petrodollar in the trash bin of history, and we cannot sell T-bills overseas since OPEC+ takes most countries cash and gold.
Roosevelt stole “The Peoples” savings when he outlawed Gold. Maybe this time they will steal the some 39 Trillion (Google is your friend) dollars as for the SAFETY of “The Peoples” retirement from dangerous Stock Market and Bitcoin.
“How did you go bankrupt?” Bill asked.
“Two ways,” Mike said. “Gradually and then suddenly.”
“What brought it on?”
“Friends,” said Mike. “I had a lot of friends. False friends. Then I had creditors, too. Probably had more creditors than anybody in England.
Hemmingway, The sun also rises.

If I were North Korea I’d be watching very closely. When the U.S. commits forces to Taiwan I’d be very tempted to move southward. The Pacific is a hell of a logistics train for the U.S. to maintain. Yes, there’s prepositioning, and there’s Japan, but if they have half a brain Japan won’t deplete their resources beyond what is necessary to defend themselves when the next stage occurs and the U.S. cannot defend them. I spent 2 years in South Korea and lesser time on Guam and Okinawa and if I learned nothing else it was the vastness of that Pacific Ocean.

But if you think about it, how are the Chinese any worth than the commie woke leftist we have here. At least if the Chinese win, they would hang these useless pieces of human filth.
The rest of the worth see US as a threat now not the Chinese. We are no longer a shining city on a hill.
