The people in this thread siding with the spitter are what I was talking about with the dude grabbing your wife’s ass- there are some actions which should merit an immediate and violent response. You can add spitting in my face to that list.

Yeah. It’s morally wrong in most cases to initiate violence against another. The only exception is to preempt imminent violence or harm, or defend your property.
My definition of violence is physical touching or interference with another, including the use of tools or energy weapons, with the intent to injure or control another’s behavior against their will using physical force or threat of force.

Very poor hand to hand skills. Tactically unwise; administer the consequences outside the vehicle to avoid third party interference, and a yucky mess that someone will have to clean. Take the keys with you, this audience may need restraining while their troopmate gets whupped. Also, tiresomely repetitive and unimaginitive use of epithets and curses. Be creative and entertaining. This busdriver was not a marine or soldier. The spigger should rapidly be bleeding and in dire need of surgery with assistance from an osteopath, dental surgeon, neurosurgeon, endocrinologist and proctologist, and a long term first name working relationship with overoptimistic physiotherapists. It discourages copycats; or rather, monkeysee monkeydoo. We don’t want nasty diseases spreading.

Well yes, of course. I was born in 1955, the oldest of 5 kids, to a home builder and a homemaker. The entire environment, family, community, society, was such that behavior was instilled from the very beginning, in all ways and in all things.
The idea of someone grabbing another person, or spitting on another person, were so far out of the norm that ALL rational people would immediately rise up and deal with it.
Today, as Kim du Toit wrote about, the entire society has to a degree become Pussified. Everything has to be defined, explained, balanced, and consensused to death.
I know my limitations and have the scars to prove it, so I stay away from society as much as possible because I am the type to reactively correct a wrong and at my age and mindset I’m no longer capable of putting up with law enforcement nor judicial bullshit, let alone the expense of all of it.
People arguing in defense of indecency, who’d a thunk it?

I was born in 1960, put in a Catholic private school to avoid such things, as they were happening in elementary school I started out in (the era of bussing). They also bussed to my high school to culturally enrich us, which was very dangerous. Now I live in northern Maine, where people are polite and there are hitching posts for the horses at the bank, post office, and grocery store. Avoidance of this culture is best. I will tell you frankly, that the single parent thing is behind all of this. It started with economic incentive for women not to be married and have children; an open attempt to destroy black families and it worked, and now it is working its way into white families as well. Just like on the farm, a young bull or a young stallion without a father is a nightmare for the farmer; just so with children without fathers. This is the result; I would bet dollars to donuts that this perp is fatherless for the most part.
Another thing; having feral men around (feral women as well) makes it impossible for women to be safe. It is a law of nature. Hoodlums prey on the weak; women, the elderly, children. Men need to be men and stop that kind of behavior so that the rest of society can be safe. Good on him.

I hate our current place in the timeline. I’m certain that way back when the crowd would have cheered and a couple stalwart men would have assisted in throwing him off after said tune up. Which probably isn’t necessary, but it would a great boost in height and velocity. Achieving a more satisfying landing.

With all the infectious pathogens that can be transmitted by saliva, spitting in someone’s face can easily be interpreted as aggravated assault with intent to cause death or serious injury.

I did beat the shit out of a guy who spit on me. Nobody said anything about it. But that was 30 or so years ago….
