The US under Trump is set to deport and return illegals from Honduras back to their home country. In response, the President of Honduras is threatening to shut down a US military base that is located at the Soto Cano air base. She claims that the US maintains this military base without cost.

OK, shut down our air base and we will cut off all money that is given to Honduras in any form whatsoever. Last year, that came to more than $152 million in direct payments.

Why do we continue to give money to countries that hate us? The only reason I can come up with is – money laundering. I really believe that most government expenditures see some form of kickbacks coming to the people in our government who decide who gets what funding. That includes everyone- legislators, government bureaucrats, all of them. Most of our middle level, and all of our senior level government officials are crooked.

It needs to stop.

I read the other day the primary mission of the 500 or so soldiers stationed there is for humanitarian and drug interdiction operations. It’s really not a “base” base. I think of it more like a sheriff’s substation in a seedy strip mall. So yeah, pack up and leave and forget the place even exists.

I’ve long thought that we need to completely reset our foreign aid plans. I think the vast majority of foreign aid is poorly spent, even after the crooks have skimmed off their cut. And there’s the issue of foreign countries’ dependency on our largess. It’s time we went to zero based budgeting of foreign aid, with extremely strict criteria for eligibility.

Seems every country does not want the people back that have ended up here. Could it be most of them are criminals of some sort (Aside from the being here illegally) but they all uniformly enjoy the money their citizens send back home.

Why bother sorting where they came from? Put them on a barge and just push it generally away.

Time to support another military coup.

Agree with cutting off all funding and aid until they learn to stop biting the hand that feeds them.

But also, when we deport Honduran illegals, they should be thrown out at altitude over the countryside.
Then helpfully explain that we were going to land and let them deplane, but Honduras closed the airport. 🙂

Actions should have consequences.

“What’chu mean ‘we’, Florida Man?”

The Fed gives away money it extorts from me via threat of armed violence.

The United States government, such as it is, generally operates opposite what I would prefer.

(My first attempt at posting was killed by this blog software, I keep forgetting that it hates VPNs.)

I’ve posted here before about my 9 days in Haiti on a medical mission trip. The above list of grifters needs to include the Catholic Church which, I was told, does quite well in the sex trafficking of minors. It just isn’t discussed or you “get dead” as Bongino likes to say.

The only governmental solution to Haiti is to quit it. Leave. Stop assuming they think like we do and share our Western values. They don’t so stop being a rube. If you want to go back as a missionary to share the Gospel of Jesus, please do. Just take Seal Team Six with you and travel around in an MRAP.

I think madam president does not want her bad apples back in her country. Maybe she thinks The Donald will offer her a deal, Possibly or maybe he will make her an example. Close the base, trim the foreign aid and send home all her migrants.
