In a followup to my post about Republicans, here is a big reason why I won’t be casting my vote in the Florida Governor’s race:
That right there is the Republican nominee in the Florida governor’s race. To the Republican party:
We always talk about a line in the sand. This is one of them. I won’t EVER vote for someone who says I am the enemy. You want to call me a white supremacist? This honky is keeping his Governor’s vote to himself.
His record sucks balls anyhow. He’s been convicted of drug possession, writing bad checks, and who knows what else. This is the best that Florida’s Republican party has to offer?

Remember, voting for the lessor of two evils is still a vote for evil.
Not voting is a valid choice.
Lucy should be able to pull the football only so many times.
Your vote, whether for winner or loser,
lends legitimacy to a system which doesn’t deserve it,
so they can say, “But you voted for it.”

I take this as a ‘tell’.
Here in Appalachiastan we’ve been given the choice of swamp critter Marsha Blackburn (R) or some Bimbo Blondie Dem from Memphrica. In Tennessee. You expect me to believe these two broads are the best choices available to the residents to THIS particular state to represent them in the executive capacity of state government?
Like that moon cricket is the best thing the R’s in Florida have?
No, it’s a tell. They plan on crashing it all. There’s no doubt. The patsy’s and stooges are being put in place. Get ready, it rarely arrives lubed.

I’ll be voting a straight “R” ticket and writing in “Mickey the Rat” (Mouse? That things huge) in the Guv’na slot. I’ll just “hope” that the Florida GOP can keep Jolly in check. Yeah, I know, I know, good luck with that.

For a long time now, I’ve wished ballots had a “none of the above – find new candidates” option. If that option “wins” the election, then the office can remain vacant until the next election, or the parties could be given, oh, a month or two to come up with new candidates, depending on the office and how the rules were set up.

I’m guessing FL has term limits?? (otherwise, what happened to DeSantis?)
IF voting DID/COULD change things, do you REALLY think we’d be voting?? Similar to Stalin winning 99% of all votes (hate to think what happened to the 1% who didn’t vote for him, or maybe planned??). I do vote for local, taxes, bonds, etc. But ANYTIME there’s a chance to write-in, I ALWAYS write-in “withdraw consent”…… I ain’t playing the game.
And before anyone says “didn’t vote, don’t gripe” NOPE – IF you play the game, don’t gripe. Thatj just makes you a sore loser.

I, too, hate Donalds BUT I could never bring myself to vote for, let alone associate with, any person that aligns himself with the Demonic Democrat Party. I would much rather pay ‘reparations’ than give my tax money to illegal invading immigrants or cross-dressing perverts in the classroom. To not vote is a vote for ‘them’.

I’m going to watch the full interview. It seems like that clip doesn’t tell the whole story. He could be changing, but I don’t recall Byron Donalds ever talking about the “problem” of white supremacy before. Regardless, would FL residents be better off with the Democrat or the Republican winning? It’s not exactly a Hobson’s choice.

What a loser. And while I gather your closing query was rhetorical, I’ll answer it anyway: yes, this is the best the party can come up with, because they despise us, and will never even consider giving us anything better.

You think they are “best the party can come up with” because they want that candidate to win. However over the course of my life, I’ve seen candidates repeatedly proposed that made me ask, “Why?”
I then read a blog who said that the idea was for the Uniparty Republicans to offer a black-horse candidate in the knowledge that the Republican voters would sit out; allowing the Uniparty Democrat candidate to win. If by some chance the black-horse candidate won, that individual was considered enough of a puppet that the Uniparty could still control him and continue to get their policies implemented.
Example: John McCain vs Obama.
The Republican voters were expected to “hold their nose” and vote for him. He then “lost” the election to Obama. After having this pointed out to me, I’ve thought of similar contests that didn’t make sense at the time, but now make sense if you assume the Uniparty Republicans were offering a candidate they didn’t want to win.

Divemedic, always enjoy your thoughts and analysis, but have to come down on oldvets side. The Republicans always disappoint and it seems this gov candidate is another in a long list of clowns, but democrats can never be allowed to govern if there is anything we can do to stop it. They are no longer a party who loves this country and we can just differ on policy. They are anti American and hate the country as founded. You often state they want to kill us. I cannot support anyone who associates with them, even the occasional Fetterman type. They declared themselves as enemies of all that made this country great, and embrace the destruction of western civilization.
I’ll vote for the clowns if it weakens my avowed enemies.
