A pretty good discussion on the difficulties of SEAD in Iran. I trust this channel because the guy who runs it, MOOCH, was assigned to the same ship I was on during the Gulf War. Meaning, I met him in a previous life, and therefore know he isn’t some Asian fake account.

We hear, former Naval Aviators, are frankly surprised that we are still flying manned aircraft. There is always a way to shoot them down, no matter what kind of crafty tools you have on board. Sometimes it is needed for sure, but I think that unmanned make more sense and cost less taxpayers dollars.

I forget, how many pilotless drones have the Iranians hacked?
Iran is said to have produced drones based on the captured RQ-170, including the Shahed 171 Simorgh and the Shahed Saeqeh.
A piloted craft can always be stopped, reassigned, when needed.

I just saw the report today of what happened last year when Starlink went down, all the robot boats just sat there in the water, useless. No mention of aircraft, but no pilot, no action when control is gone, and I sure don’t want independent killing machines let loose.
