The so- called “teen takeover” trend expanded this past weekend when a large group of “teens” headed to Clearwater Beach and immediately began attacking people before it ended with gunshots. The police chief had this to say:
Deputy Chief of the Clearwater Police Department, Michael Walek, held a press conference around 8:30 p.m., where he said the incident was organized through social media and that it happened because of a “bunch of kids acting like kids,” claiming that this kind of incident would not happen again.
Kids shooting each other is actung like kids? That’s because it’s “teens”

It will happen that such a group will attack a family where someone must try to defend them, and the mob will suffer the consequences.
I can only hope that the prosecutor recognizes that a mob attack, even if the mob is not armed, is a lethal attack, likely to cause death or grevious bodily harm, and decline to prosecute.
That police chief sounds like those from Baltimore, Chicago, or St Louis in their failure to address the main problems.

When we lived in FL we saw them animals frequently, sometimes almost everyday. Even conversed with them at times when we had to.
Since moving here to Hoosierville 20 years ago we almost never see them. In the last 3 years I saw one only once and that was at a distance. Looked more like a zoo animal than a human being. Very odd looking creature indeed.

As others have mentioned, Florida sun sure seems to have a ‘tanning effect’….not a white body to be seen. Forget where I read it, but if all the ‘folks of the darker persuasion’ were to be ejected, crime would be almost non-existent, and the quality of life would rise dramatically.

Near where I live, they got word that a takeover was going to occur, so the Sheriff showed up in force to prevent it from happening. That is NOT the way to handle it. These ‘kids’ need to be physically hurt – feel pain – to learn what behavior will not be tolerated. I think of it as ‘the natural way’ since, in nature, that is the method used; fire is hot, bees sting, gravity can hurt you, etc.
