As we enter the last day of 2024, take a moment and reflect on this:

The last day of the Carter administration was 44 years ago, ending in 1981. In 1981, we were closer to the attack on Pearl Harbor than we are to the end of the Carter administration today.

But Carter and his term of office did greater damage. 🙂

I hate it when people do math like this and then make me look at it.

When Reagan got elected it was the last time I recall that the nation felt a sense of optimism. Things didn’t get better overnight.

I read somewhere that Cleopatra’s reign was closer to the iPhone than it was to the great pyramids at Giza. That’s a fact nobody gives a shit about but it is mind-bending to me.

More were murdered as a result of Pearl Harbor and those behind it and the resulting wars, then died between January 1976 through January 1980

You need a far better dictionary if you think anyone was murdered at Pearl Harbor, or as a result of it, on any side of that conflict.

There’s a lot of homicide in war, and prodigious numbers of casualties, but precious few murders.
    You could look it up.

    Words mean things.

And BTW, Mr. Peanut was in office from January 1977 to January 1981. 😉
