Rush Limbaugh once commented that Democrats would suddenly be against abortion if there was a genetic test for gayness. You know they’d want to ban abortions in such cases.

One laughs, but… that WAS one of the original arguments for legalizing the abortion procedure – Eugenics. We know in-utero the baby may have physical deformities, heart defect, etc., or blood or genetic defect that would lead to a short and painful life after birth. The pregnancy could be terminated safely, the mother ready to re-breed in a few months. How it’s morphed to a band-aid for promiscuity and poor birth-control choices is beyond this forum. Ultimately however it can be said it’s a logical argument for a society. The flip side everyone forgets, EVERY SINGLE TIME some issue like this comes up, is what happens when people who don’t like you come to power and wield the law?
