PS: which boards?
PPS: around 40 yrs ago in ER, my coworkers took to printing long lists of their credentials after the name on their tag. ‘Jane Doe BS, RN, CEN, ACLS, PALS, Staff Nurse II.’
Mine read ‘my full name, RN, CEN, CRS’. It took them a year and a half to notice and tell me to get a new tag.
I too would like to know which boards you passed? I too had too many to want to bother. I started out in psych and all we had printed was our first name and RN. When I moved up to Advanced Med/Surg I retained the badge and never bothered to have my last name listed and my qualifications and credentials. I worked for 25 years with out changing my badge.

I don’t actually put the letters on my badge, or anything like that.

Well done and congrats! Hope you feel better quickly.
Congrats! For several years before I retired from engineering, my tag name was followed by RCSU. They never caught on, and I finally revealed it at my retirement party: Rude, Crude, and Socially Unacceptable.

I had a friend some years ago who inherited some money from a relative. When he found out, he had business cards made with the letters “MIRC” or “Member, Idle Rich Class.”

Congrats! One of the reasons I didn’t even look at the medical field (aside from the ick factor), is the board process. That’s some tough shit. My wife’s passed 2 for her career.

As a student during a clinicaI rotation, I picked up a stalker who thought we MUST be kinfolks cuzza the same last name. Supervisor approved my request for a piece of tape to anonymize my name tag. Days after he was discharged, crazy guy came back into the not-open-to-the-public area once or twice looking for me. Yow.
Came down with something. Didn’t know what it was, but didn’t feel well enough to go to work on Friday. Then my sense of smell disappeared. COVID. Again. This is the fourth time I have Read more…
