In September, I said that the American disaster of the pull out of Afghanistan was a disaster of such epic proportions that we would not know the true impact for years.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine is one of those repercussions. The despots of the world know weak leadership when they see it. Things will continue to get worse for years to come.

America has kept the peace, except when we break it, for six decades. Now the world realizes there is nothing to stop any insanity anywhere. You want it? You take it. On another site a poster is arguing that it will be better to allow muslimes nuclear weapons, than have china to take over Taiwan. Why? Well, the nuclear war would only last a couple of hours, but if Taiwan is taken over, it would ruin his companys ability to build/sell computers. The insanity, wherever it is coming from, is taking over the world. Be ready.

The nicest term I’ve heard to describe us is “an unreliable negotiating partner”.
Between Afghanistan and welshing nearly every agreement we get into, why would anyone take us seriously.
