The person who stole that car isn’t a car thief. No, they are an undocumented car owner. It’s unfair to take a car from the person who needs it, as this is their only transportation, their only way to get to their job and earn money to feed their families.

That’s why I am proposing a path to car ownership. Once a person has been in possession of a car for 24 months, there should be an automatic title issued on that vehicle to the person that’s in possession of it. They’ve been working, paying taxes, and using that car to contribute to the economy. That’s only fair.

That’s the argument being made here:

A pathway to citizenship already exists and has existed for a lot longer than this mullet has been alive. It works quite well when used, something this person already knows, unless she gets all her news from Cosmopolitan magazine or Tik-Tok, which is altogether possible.

What they mean is: I don’t want to do it that way. I want to steal a spot then cry about how unfair it is, once I get caught.

It hurts my ears just to hear English spoken with a foreign accent.

You make a GREAT argument, clear and common-sensical… but it won’t convince any of them. Liberalism is their one religion, their belief structure, and you cannot debate belief.

The sad part is (and this is a big reason I’m such a black-pilled asshole), what you just demonstrated, is beyond the ability of the average person (i.e. 50% of the population or greater cannot perform that task).
What you did was discern the meaning behind the words used and constructed a message from the sentence. Thought critically about that message, and determined that it was logically false. Your mind translated that and constructed an allegory that made it easier to wrap your head around, and you then rejected it based on principles that conflict with your previously held beliefs.

More than half the people of this country will simply nod in agreement based on

A- person that said it (Milgram effect)
B- economic effect (commies commies commies)
C- what everyone else around them is doing

Classes of subjects between citizens (hold office, vote, etc.) and illegal alien perhaps? With 2nd class full citizen except for voting or holding office and initial level legal not allowed citizenship, nor their children, but eligible for safety net after a set number of years of paying in. My favorite: citizen but not able to vote or hold office because said person holds dual citizenship.

I kind of agree with first gen immigrants not being able to hold state or federal elected office, most are not fully Americanized. Local community/township level stuff maybe, but no higher.
As to dual citizenship, this too should be lumped with above constraint.

Many countries never cease to recognize your citizenship if you were born there.

On accepting U.S. citizenship we renounce country of birth citizenship and cease using said passport, but cannot “lose” such citizenship.

I for one cannot trust that grifter in Detroit running for senate, he does not have any background that supports American values and is far too glib with his “promises”. Yes I live in MI and do not trust a damned thing he says.

In 1979 I was a legal immigrant – green card and all. In 1991 became a very proud citizen.
At no time was I ever a public charge, in fact, paid taxes even before all of the above, yes, even students on visa have to pay taxes both state and federal (and no, you cannot vote, don’t even think of it).

There is also this little other bit in the code that says that anyone caught using illegal substances is to be deported, hence never even considered such then or now.

So tell me again how a person that breaks the law to enter the country, then goes on public assistance (supported by the D party) should ever have a path to citizenship in any way? Ronnie got bamboozled by the democrats, that is all there is to it.

Deport them all.

You want to become an immigrant? Apply from your country of origin and damned well prove you have marketable skills from day one of arrival. Yes you can have a sponsor in the U.S. to cover for you, but that means the sponsor is responsible for ALL costs associated to your being here.

Sadly, politicians of all stripes seem to ignore the laws so long as it benefits them personally. Maybe “we the people” should consider deporting them too, perhaps to Australia? They would blend in admirably.
