Let me paraphrase:
People who own AR-15s think they are arming themselves against a possibly tyrannical government, and that’s just plain incorrect and makes them crazy to even think so. For that reason, I think we should send armed government agents to your house to confiscate them.
Of course, it is foolish to engage in an armed battle with the cops when they show up to your house to confiscate your guns. That’s letting the enemy dictate the time and place of the engagement.
Instead, fight them the way the left fought Charlie Kirk.

It would probably take confiscations in the double to triple digits in a given area before folks wise up and start misplacing property.
That would make for a very busy police force, one likely already defunded by leftists in charge.
How to counter/fight back has been well discussed. It all depends on how hard they push
Given that the right is going to likely lose its collective ass in the midterms, expect to see a lot more of these goons pushing for gun control

Canadians had until march 31st to tell the government they owned rifles the government decided were too dangerous for them to own.
The feds estimated on a number of that should have been declared, but only 2.5% of them were declared. Except the number of guns estimate is based on the number imported on those models in last 20 years and then assuming 20% of the total became inoperable each year. That seems like a very high failure rate.
I doubt Americans will be anymore likely then us to hand them over to political types whp also called for our death.
