Yes, they put out a statement recently that they have been subjected to a distributed denial of service attack, which happens frequently, but this one is massively more intense to the extent it is believed to be nation state level.

This site has had a DDOS attack once or twice. Mostly, I am too small a fish to be messed with. I get a little less than 7k hits on a normal day, but when the attacks happen, that jumps up to about 50k hits a day.

Per Elon Musk the attack came “from the Ukraine area”. If so I see a Starlink shutdown in Ukraines future.

The copy a post to embed it elsewhere function hasn’t worked since yesterday. I wonder if it’s been shut down to save server space so the rest of X works.
