As I have been saying since the 2020 election, the left is following the CIA insurgency manual. One of the things that needs to happen is that anyone who poses a risk of organizing a counter-revolution must be eliminated. Leaders, loudly outspoken members of the media, anyone who is a threat.

That’s why Trump has to go. His defense has been gutted by the judge ruling that his lawyers need a security clearance, which they of course have to get from the same government that is trying to prosecute him. As Porretto says, they are denying the lawyers their clearances. This is a show trial that is designed to eliminate DJT.

Be on the lookout for disappearances. That is what comes next. Find prominent conservative citizens in your area and keep tabs on them. If they begin to disappear, you will know that things are moving along. Likewise, get together a list of left wing locals. Keep tabs on them as well. Intelligence is the best tool we have right now.

I shudder at the thought you just articulated… but I cannot deny its truth.
I have railed for years against a public that is willingly sticking its head in the sand rather than deal with the fate that has befallen us. Used to be sick to my stomach at these cowards.
This next step you mention however has me chilled. Who was it, Nytzakhon (spelling?) Who wrote the poem about if just one of us fought back against the kulaks? Organized in the stairwell…?

I thought it was bad that the Feds made his lawyers violate attorney-client privilege so that they’d have to recuse themselves from the case – basically forcing them to quit. Essentially guaranteeing that nobody can be qualified to defend him is even worse.

They keep daring people to stand up and start doing something, so they can then start attacking the population at large, in the name of getting rid of “Christian Nationalists” or Ultra-MAGA or some other bogeyman.

I try and watch the blogosphere to see who is getting deplatformed and who just disappears.

Plus i’m pretty sure some of us are the prominent local conservatives who are scheduled to be disappeared in the 1st round.

    Divemedic · June 20, 2023 at 8:27 am

I don’t pretend to be influential enough to get cut in the first round. I’m not a big enough fish to go that early. Anyone who gets deplatformed is welcome to come here. I’ve helped quite a few people get back online.

You may not be an A list conservative celebrity, but your helping others avoid deplatforming. As such you are likely on a list and likely in round 2 of the disappearances.

That being said I suspect there are a few people the feds are drooling over black bagging and a few that they are hoping they dont draw the short straw and get assigned to bring in.

DM, you may have read something that I did not. I read the linked article carefully; you and Francis used the same primary source. Here’s the money line from that article:

“The Justice Department filed a motion seeking to block Trump from releasing classified documents that will be shared with his lawyers.”

THAT WILL BE SHARED WITH HIS LAWYERS. In other words, the docs can be shared with his lawyers, but not disclosed publicly.

β€œThe Discovery Materials, along with any information derived therefrom, shall not be disclosed to the public or the news media, or disseminated on any news or social media platform, without prior notice to and consent of the United States or approval of the Court,” Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart said in the protective order.

Now – there’s an argument to be made that this is unfair to Trump, but not in the way that you and Francis are reading it. That argument is thus: If those documents were in fact innocuous and not critical to any national security issue, then it would be in Trump’s interests to disclose the documents publicly to let the public know that the prosecution is utter and complete bullshit.

But the argument that you and Francis (both of whom I respect highly) are making is that Trump’s LAWYERS cannot see the documents – which, by the article both of you linked, is not true. If I’m reading something wrong, please tell me. Again, I have high respect for both of you. But this seems to be a case where the headline doesn’t match the story.

Here’s the thing – this prosecution is bullshit. But precision matters. It’s bullshit because Trump did the same thing that others have done (reference your Hunter Biden story above), and nothing happened to them.

Here’s where the wicket gets sticky. Trump has reportedly been recorded on audiotape saying that he knew the documents were classified, that he could have declassified them, that he did not do so, and that he knew it was therefore illegal for him to possess them. And this wasn’t secret audiotape – it was during an interview with two authors that he had consented to, and knew he was being recorded. If in fact this recording exists, that’s a problem. The man knew very well that the enemies of the people want nothing more to put him in prison for the rest of his life – so why in the hell would he say that on tape? Good lord.

This whole thing is a shitshow. And there’s a lot to be mad about – but again, precision matters. Let’s get mad about the right things.

Thanks, DM. With those articles as context, it makes much more sense.

Classification is the president’s sole prerogative.
He cannot break the law regarding classification, because by definition, anything he releases or retains isn’t classified.

The president can publish the design specs for nuclear weapons on YouTube, or wallpaper his house with the real names and identities of every US spy around the world, and he’s untouchable.
It wouldn’t be wise if he did so, but he has that sole and plenipotentiary authority under US law, and always has had such, ex oficio. Lit. “by virtue of the office”.

That’s part of the package that comes with the oath of office.
It doesn’t apply to anyone else, ever. Not the VP. Not the SecState, SecDef, Speaker of the House, Senate Majority leader nor president pro tem, nor even the heads of the CIA or FBI.
    Just POTUS.

This entire case was moot the day they filed it. And TPTB know it.

POTUS is not subject to document classification law, document classification law is subject to POTUS.
Anything President Trump shipped to himself or carried out in his underpants is thus no longer classified.
    Period.
    Paragraph.
    Game. Set. Match.

This witch hunt is a banana republic gambit to screw the election by hamstringing Biden’s likely opponent, and disenfranchise the majority of Americans who elected him last time, all over again.

It’s going to end in bloodshed, and TPTB don’t give a damn, and are actually salivating over the prospect.

It won’t turn out for them the way they imagine.

Losing wars and other nations just walking away might slow it down a bit but comrade Lefty is like rust, never resting in the Long March to burn down the world.
Read a great Substack about “vicious commie bitches” being the worst just as George Orwell said thatit was always the wymyns.

I’ve already commented at length on trump’s failing to curb stomp the DOJ (among other federal cess pools) in a previous post, so no need to rehash that here. But I will say this is just another perfect demonstration of how he fucked himself and created the very circumstances of his own undoing. The damned fool had his shot to tamp down this rabid beast while he was inside the system. Now he is on the outside, and has no real chance of beating them if they really want him gotten.

Any lawyer agreeing to represent him will eventually be declared an enemy of the state as well (watch it happen), further disincentivizing anyone competent from doing so. This was so easily seen coming, and yet he somehow totally missed or discounted it ever happening. What a clueless dumb shit.
