Anyone who clings to the historically untrue—and thoroughly immoral—doctrine that ‘violence never settles anything’ I would advise to conjure up the ghosts of Napoleon Bonaparte and of the Duke of Wellington and let them debate it. The ghost of Hitler could referee, and the jury might well be the Dodo, the Great Auk, and the Passenger Pigeon. Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst. Breeds that forget this basic truth have always paid for it with their lives and freedoms.- Robert Heinlein

Once you threaten me with violence, I will take you at your word. If the police aren’t willing to do something to protect me and my family by taking you into custody, then I must do it myself.

That’s why we have police- to ensure those who are accused of a crime receive a fair trial, rather than a beatdown from their alleged victims.

The two parties politics nor profession mean nothing. If you threaten me, my wife, my children, or any other member of my immediate family, I will do what that ‘pastor’ did, too.
Too often we see today, here comes the ‘repeal the 19th argument’, we see a society where actions are removed from consequences. This violates the law of thermodynamics, and cannot stand. This is why we have many of the problems we do today.
Put more simply, if folks got popped in the mouth for spouting off, they wouldn’t do it. It’s specifically BECAUSE the police will get involved, that charges may/may not be pending, that this type of problem will persist! If not, the kid will likely learn his lesson and not speak to his neighbor, not anyone else, like that again. If he didn’t, then a second and third lesson should be applied.

An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life

The one who needs an even worse ass beating is “Brandon Let’s Go”

Skeptic · September 11, 2026 at 11:50 am

I’d go to that guy’s church.

FAFO, don’t start it won’t get beat down. Threats to my family get instant response up to and including firearms.

Nice. Props to the pastor for beating his ass. Really, the guy deserved it just for wearing crocs. Further, the police have invited this state of affairs, by their decision to go along with the choice to impose anaracho tyranny, by ignoring criminals and bringing the full force of the law down on decent people who are simply trying to defend themselves, and their way of life. Expect to see a lot more of this going forward..

Watch the little beetch duck and cover, then run. As Mike Tyson said – “Everyone’s got a plan until they get punched in the mouth.” Smart of Pastor to toss the cell phone before giving “words of wisdom” to the little beetch. Something along the lines of – if I ever see you again, I’ll XXXXXX.

That comment about “no words are justification for violence”. Ya think he said that about Charlie?

“If the police aren’t willing to do something to protect me and my family by taking you into custody,”

Friendly reminder. Per Castle Rock v. Gonzales, 545 U.S. 748 (2005), SCOTUS says the police have no legal duty to protect you.

No one mentioned the law or Castle Rock.

I love what the pastor said–“I laid hands on the sick”.

Takes a good preacher to deliver a proper “come to Jesus” beating.

Pretty clear in the video that the kid took the first swing. If his mouth wasn’t enough to warrant a beatdown that first swing certainly was.
