A California family was injured at a luxury resort in Hawaii in a racially motivated attack by as many as 20 locals. The ringleader said:
We’re going to beat up the haole boys.
Haole (pronounced ‘howly’) is the native Hawaiian term for people who aren’t from Hawaii and is used mainly as a reference to whites. My wife lived there in Hawaii for several years, and told me the disdain for whites is pervasive, especially for white women. The native Hawaiian girls feel like white women are “stealing their men” and it’s tough to fit in to society there as a white person.
We visited the island state in 2016. One of the things that I saw when we were on Oahu was a large number of signs declaring that haole should leave, “Tourist go home,” or “We have enough hotels.” Signs of that nature. There are a large number of ‘native’ people who believe that Hawaii was some sort of peaceful paradise until Europeans arrived, and they think secession will return them to the ‘good old days.’ Hawaii residents still think that they are entitled to payment from the mainland.
More than 1,000 people are missing or dead from the Maui fires three years ago – many of them children- after police would not allow them to flee the advancing flames. People get the government that they vote for. That’s why I don’t feel sorry for the residents of Hawaii. They voted for a Democrat governor, Senators, Representatives, and have voted for Democrat Presidents for decades.
Hawaiians: This is YOUR fault. Remember that on election day, assuming that it isn’t too late for your votes to matter.

Captain James Cook would have contributed something to this discussion, but he was murdered by the natives already. Deposit several pallets of SPAM (Someone Posing As Meat) and hie your sub-melanistic long pig carcase over the horizon…while you can. Oprah and Zuckerberg have already claimed this territory.

Go a half mile into the interior away from the beaches and it’s almost a complete cargo cult existence with these natives. They produce nothing except crime. Very similar to what the Aussies face. I was stationed at Ft Shafter for a time and it was like living at a wild west post. Many places off limits, endless crime. A place to suffer, not to enjoy. Plus, of all things, go see the USS Arizona memorial. The videos they show completely hid the Japanese surrender delegation so that the tourists do not lose face.

Sounds like white women found their niche in Hawaiian society. A lot of white men probably fancy those island chicks, so the males from both races seem to like ‘strange’.

I was stuck on ‘The Rock’ (little Five-O lingo) from 1965 to 1975. I have no regrets leaving the rock and few positive memories (other than the ocean & scuba diving). Only been back once in 1999 for 2 week Navy contract. Was mostly the same, just more crowded.
So Hawaii. Awful public school system, high cost of living & taxes, crime (theft then being the biggest issue), corrupt state government, etc. It has always been a semi-hostile environment regarding tourism and from Statehood has essentially been a Democrat plantation. Sorta like Tahiti with the French (great diving in Tahiti BTW).
The locals (Hawaiians) used to call these sort of thugs “Mokes”. A low life. Calling someone that would generally start a fight PDQ. Now? Probably an honorific.

I honestly think we should remove statehood and make it a territory again, but that will never happen.

I always thought ‘The Rock’ was Okinawa, but I’ve never been stationed either there or Hawaii. I was lucky enough to spend a few months on Guam – what a paradise that was in ’70!
Everyone with a lick of sense knows Hawaii is corrupt, especially their Bureau of Vital Statistics.
