I just posted on price controls this morning. Here they come, it’s the new Democrat talking point.

Stand by for some black market profiteering. Convert your soon to be useless dollars

What exactly is capitalistic about a 40 year career in public service?

Don’t get me wrong, I think he was very capitalistic, but that’s outside the scope of his actual job.

Ok Brandon. So that means no taxation on seniors or working families?

Did you hear Kamala’s take on protecting you from price “gauging?”

Right, she literally used the wrong word. Since I doubt she was ever within walking distance of a machine shop, QC or any other place that required precision measurement, I’d be pretty sure she never actually heard the word gauging before.

I’m sure it was “gouging, gauging – just like tomayto, tomahto. Whatever…”

Yeah, that was my post earlier today.

Historic joyful good feelz for all!
Kammy love you long time.
You didn’t build that, comrade.
To each according to his need, workers of the world unite.
Manboons is not a learning animal.
Still grappling with stale 19th century horseshit.
Sad, really.

This is now just comical. There’s no way they are even trying to get elected with positions like this. They are trying to throw the election to Trump.

The alternative is scary- they don’t care what people think because the election is in the bag.
I remember thinking in 2020 that there was no way that Biden could win without campaigning. Boy, did I underestimate the level of corruption and cheating that would take place. This is what I had to say in July of that year:

I think there is a classic “October Surprise” to come. I think that it is odd that Biden isn’t even really campaigning. He hasn’t even chosen a running mate. Why? Has he given up? Doubtful. Is he that sure he will win? … Whatever the case may be, whatever the Democrat party does with the Biden campaign will tell us a lot about where they see the nation heading.

One thing is for sure: No matter how corrupt and evil that you think the left is, you are probably not giving them enough credit. They can top it, and in unexpected ways. A good bellwether is listen to what they are accusing their opponents of- that is probably what they are planning to do.

Most companies would happy to get a 10% profit like you big guy.

I too believe they think (or know) that the election, if you can really call it that, is as they say, in the bag. The fix is in and it has been for a very long time, I would say at least as far back as H W Bush. The election were a ruse in a way, or an illusion that gave the people the idea that they had a choice and that things swung between the “right” and the “left”, but really didn’t. Though having less power than today, the same cabal was calling the shots and it didn’t matter what monkey was inserted into office, they still perform for their supper.

Today, it is clear that they control an evil empire and desire to bring collectivism to the US and are trying to extract what wealth remains of the productive people and then turn everyone into the new Kulak who will either conform to the State via ESG or be shut out of everything and starve, penniless. Communism doesn’t work. Never has, never will.

One concept that I find intriguing, though, are some of the principles of 1930s German National Socialism, which created a juggernaut that almost concurred Europe and would have smashed the USA had they developed nuclear weaponry first. Nazism wasn’t entirely capitalist nor was it entirely socialist, but blended parts of both. For example, private industry and profit were good as long as it also served to strengthen the realm. In such an environment, things like the outsourcing to Asia that has weakened the USA in ways that are likely irreparable, would not have been allowed. Healthcare was provided to all, but coupled with policies focusing on making a good, strong, hardy people who could defend the realm. There was unemployment insurance, but welfare as it exists today would not. Specifically, the swath of ( mostly) blacks that still sit on the plantation with their handout would have been eradicated, along with their criminal cousins. Similarly, the floodgate at the southern border would not exist.

Obviously, this would be a largely race based initiative, as is modern Marxism (substitute race for class and you have what’s happening here today), and this is one area where the US is somewhat unique. Look at what is happening in Scandinavia, with the import of the moslem African’t savages; the homogeneous nature that allowed those socialistic societies to work was destroyed. A tribe, or a homogeneous society can thrive, but it also means an us and a them and a people will sacrifice for us, but not them.

In any case, I suspect that we will soon be reduced to more primitive society. If Trump is successful, I hope he gives the Star Chamber the mother of all enemas and destroys them, otherwise it will be a short reprieve at best. Ultimately, there is no voting our way out of this.

That pre-war nazism is actually not very different from what is driving China today. And just like it is with China now, it’s usability had an expiration date. For ze germans it was 1940s. That’s why they had to start the war. I don’t know what is the BB date for the Chinese version of communism, but as far as I can see it is definitely not forever. So I’m not sure it is such an intriguing idea after all. But such a system certainly can function in a society with minorities. Interestingly, ze germans also tolerated some minorities, e.g., Sorbs. To a degree, of course.

To claim a US President was not onboard with the centralization/collectivism agenda, they would have had to permanently reduce federal executive branch employee headcount. When’s the last time that happened? WWII demobilization?

“Stand by for some black market profiteering. Convert your soon to be useless dollars”

But, if I may advise, do not “convert” them into stuff. That just doesn’t work. Find a replacement “currency”. For us it used to be a combination of any of the following: gold, $, pound, DM, CHF. In some sense “big items” like housing or cars worked as well, but with caveats that are perhaps too difficult to analyze in a short comment.

Maybe just maybe their going to be a lot of butt hurt on the ‘right’ when the dust settles, https://tomluongo.me/2024/08/18/the-most-dangerous-question-of-2024-what-if-kamala-harris-isnt-an-idiot/
