TPTB can’t “buy back” (confiscate) what they don’t know I have. In the last 46 years I have bought exactly 3 weapons that TPTB are aware of, and they tried to get one back from me after they changed it’s status. I told them it had been resold and they didn’t push back much (this was in 78 so nowhere like what it is now).
Actually, gun buy backs are a good place to go and pick up some decent deals, before simpletons make it inside.

The government can’t buy anything back that it didn’t own in the first place.
POTUS can’t ban anything really…I know, the ATF tries by redefining shit all the time, but congress has the power here. Even then, it would have to pass constitutional muster. Because if they go too far, someone will initiate a case designed to go to SCOTUS.

The best response would be a middle finger or two.
Disband congress since they have been deleted by the “historic” pen and phone and how do you buyback something that wasn’t yours in the first place.
Enterprising comrades will take an old Jennings or single shot Stevens that barely works down to the buyback for an EBT card.
The electronic benefits cards aren’t going very far due to the inflation AKA paying for all the “free” government programs going to the replacements.

There is no having a discussion with these congenitally stupid fuckers. Attempting to do so is as constructive and enjoyable as dick punching oneself. The only discourse that remains to be had will be an unspoken “hell no” delivered with unmistakable finality.
It was always thus, as authoritarian pricks cannot be reasoned with, nor can they be convinced to stop their incursions upon the rights of others, with anything short of crushing force.
We can converse amongst those of like mind, but there is no need, time or justification for any further discussion with “them”. At this late hour, anyone still trying to argue with and persuade those with such innately defective behavioral tendencies is a fool or a masochist, if not both.
