Dude is very lucky, either resist fully or comply fully, just telling him “no” and nothing else is a poor choice, he’s lucky the criminal wasn’t serious about using the gun.

We made spiked bats with nails after watching Escape From NY, The Warriors 1979, Mad Max II and the parents were like uhh no wrong answer while pulling the confiscation card.

I keep a can of mace velcro affixed to a handy spot in the vehicle for instances similar to this… but it’s the olde rule… don’t bring pepper spray to a gun fight. This guy had more guts than sense. I get it… he HAD nothing to give the asshole. PROVE it to him and send him on his merry way. Don’t give the perp an excuse to open fire. Yeah, the odds are pretty tall that he won’t, but was it worth it?
Damn lucky if you ask me.
