Every city, along with their lobbying partners, is busy trying to scare voters about Amendment 3. Remember Kissimmee and how they gave the fire fighters 25% more time off at a cost of $11 million a year?

The Kissimmee city commission is voting on their city’s annual budget. The $322 million budget is up from the previous year’s $310 million for a population of 90,000. City officials are threatening cuts to services. Property taxes represent $31 million of the city’s budget, and ad valorem taxes on homestead property represent about 21.1% of Kissimmee’s taxable property value. What does that mean? Approximately $6.5 million of the city’s $31 million in property-tax receipts comes from homestead property. Even if the law were to completely eliminate property taxes on homestead property, the city could still afford a 1.7% increase in spending over last year.

I am tired of local governments stealing all of our money.

It’s amazing how every property owner must tighten their belts when taxes, or prices, etc. go up…. yet to even suggest the government must do it is unthinkable.

Absolutely YES ON THREE.

You’re starting to see why I’m so black-pilled. It ain’t just your county, same here. The entire political class, from my experience, every one of them, save the very very few, are leeches. And that’s as polite and family-friendly as I can describe them.
Then you have their hangers-on (spouses, children, kinfolk), who are adjacent, complicit, or silently aware they’re benefiting from a crooked lifestyle, and try to defend the entirety of it as necessary, which many of the sheeple buy into and repeat. Fully 1/3rd of our society I can write-off as less-than-useless.
The herd needs thinning, and we’re dealing with some animals thinking they’re more equal than others.
When you reduce the infinite number of possible outcomes to whats gonna work for our side, there is really only one.

Interesting that the officials never seem to be worried about getting kicked (voted) out for criminal overspending.
