NBC argues that it shouldn’t be a crime to punch someone in the face, or drive while intoxicated. Because racism an sheeit. They declare that we should decriminalize all non-violent misdemeanors. Just so we are clear, the following are all non-violent misdemeanors under Florida law:
Stalking
Disorderly conduct
Driving under the Influence (DUI)
Driving on a Suspended License (DWLS)
Prowling
Prostitution
Petty theft
Possession of Marijuana
Menacing
Forgery
Theft of property
Vandalism
Reckless Driving
Harassing Phone Calls
Luring or enticing a child under 12 into a vehicle or structure
Carrying a concealed weapon without a permit
Open carry of a weapon or firearm
CCW holder carrying a firearm into a prohibited location
Brandishing a weapon or firearm
Leaving an unsecured firearm within reach of a minor
Discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, within a residential area, or over a road
Use of a firearm while intoxicated
Throwing a bomb or other destructive device
Furnishing weapons to minors
This will actually result in more felony convictions, because many of these misdemeanors are used in plea deals to allow criminals charged with felonies to plead guilty to misdemeanors. If those are off the table, then the felony is the only option remaining.
Demetrius Cox Jr was shot and killed a day after his 21st birthday, only a few hours after his mother bailed him out of the Osceola County jail, where he had been held since April on murder charges. At 21 years old, he was still a high school student at an Orange County private school that is located in Pine Hills, one of the most dangerous zip codes in the USA. He has been involved in at least three different gang-related shootings, including one that resulted in the death of a small child.
The family is blaming- you guessed it- gun owners for his death.
“This family said it wants gun violence to stop. “Stop the violence and find something else to do. It ain’t worth it. We’re all losing kids out here,” Burton said. “The gun violence is horrific since COVID,” Laster said. “It’s through the roof. Somebody needs to do something about this.”
Even people in the comments blaming guns while ignoring the truth:
Black males are the victim of homicide 10 to 20 times more often than any other demographic
Black males commit homicides 15 to 35 times more often than any other demographic
Black males commit armed robbery 10 to 15 times more often whites
Most crime is committed by perpetrators who are the same race as their victims
More than 90% of homicides where the victim is black, so is their killer
It would be easy to take a racist slant, but I don’t think that blacks are inherently more violent or prone to crime. Studies show that black children raised by non-black parents more closely model their non-white peers. Instead, I believe that the root cause lies in the disintegration of the black family. In black communities, we now have more than two out of every three black children growing up in single parent households. Compare that to white children, where three out of four grow up having two parents in the family. In 1960, that was where black families were: 22% of black children were in single parent homes.
In other words, children growing up raising themselves are growing up without the guidance and direction that having a parent around provides. Children model the behavior of their role models. This is how we learn to comply with societal norms. When they are young, those role models are their parents. As they approach the teenage years, those role models become their peers. When there are no parents around, the young children model the behavior of the only others that they see: older kids.
So the black community has as its role model the leaders of street gangs. Criminals. This has been the case for nearly four generations. Solve the increasing problems of dads leaving as soon as a woman gets pregnant, and you solve the problems of our society. Of course this will never happen, because the people who could solve it are instead selling away the American nuclear family in exchange for votes. As long as we continue to subsidize single mothers, we will get more of them, which in turn will erode our society even further.
Accusations of racism are the most effective weapon of the left. Take this couple for example: A couple of tourists from New Jersey who came to Orlando during the CPAC weekend. They are TSA agents, by the way. They are no different from the rest of the liberal northerners who have decided to hide out from the Liberal Democrat initiated COVID lockdowns of their home states.
They decided to dine at Maggiano’s at Pointe Orlando, which is located in the tourist corridor of Orlando’s southwest side on International Drive- just a block away from the Orange County Convention Center. For the record, this is a picture of the dining room of Maggiano’s:
The couple, who is biracial, were seated in the restaurant by the host. They noticed that all of the diners in their part of the restaurant were black, while the diners in the front half of the dining room were white. Now this place is one large dining room.
Even though the host who seated them was also black, they accused the restaurant of segregating diners. The owners of the establishment explained that the reason that so many black people were seated near them was because a large black family had come in to dine, and the 36 people had requested that they sit near each other. They even gave the couple a gift card for $200 as an apology.
That isn’t good enough for them, with the couple continuing with their accusations. I suspect that the REAL reason for the accusation was also mentioned by the couple:
Don’t you see? This is the south, and we down here are all Trump supporting racist rednecks. Fuck you. Go back to New Jersey.

Trigger Warning ⚠️ Please take the time to scroll and read this. Last night, my husband and I went to dinner for his birthday at @maggianoslittleitaly in Orlando, Florida. Unbeknownst to us, there had been a Trump rally in the area, where he gave his speech, just a few hours before. While driving to the restaurant we came upon multiple rally attendees who were in the streets with their #Trump2024 signs and CONFEDERATE flags. We were both amused and worried. (Not saying what happened next was BECAUSE of Trump, just telling the story exactly how it unfolded). We continued on to the restaurant where we had reservations. We were greeted by a black male host when we got there, who was ready to seat us right away. Then another hostess showed up, white female, who whispered to the male “well they’re gonna have to go to table 113”. He responded saying, “oh..ok”. Then proceeded to take us to our table……all the way in the back of the restaurant. We got to the table and i immediately noticed a stark contrast from the patrons in the front of the restaurant, versus where we were being seated. Guys….I shit you not…this restaurant was segregated!!!!!!!!! In 2021!!!!!! Our minds were BLOWN!!!!!! While we wanted to leave because we couldn’t believe what we were witnessing and being subjected to, our hunger from traveling all day without a single meal outweighed our shock of the moment. Needless to say, we sat there watched ppl come and go, and yeah…..they continued to seat black and brown folk in the back by the door. We made sure to document as much as we could because we didn’t even think anyone would believe us. But guys….this ACTUALLY happened!!!! If you’ve stayed and read this post in it’s entirety, please share this story. • • • • #segragation #black #white #triggered #BLM #racism #maggianoslittleitaly #orlando #florida #explore #explorepage #endracism #shaderoom
Dr Seuss wasn’t a racist- he was very forward thinking for his time. The problem is that we are judging people who lived nearly a hundred years ago by the standards of today.
Here is an example of Dr Seuss’ work to eliminate racism:
If you believe that there are two genders, you cannot be a teacher in the state of New York, as one teaching student by the name of Owen Stevens discovered. Mr. Stevens was suspended by the state university from his teaching certification program for posting on Instagram that he believes that “a man is a man, and a woman is a woman.” This, they claim, means that he cannot create an environment that is inclusive of all students. His suspension will continue until he completes a reeducation program and renounces his earlier statements. The Dean of the college claims that future teachers are required to support all aspects of homosexuality and gender identity.
To his credit, Mr. Stevens is refusing to do so. The Dean told Stevens that his scientific stance on biology is “in conflict” with the state’s Dignity for All Students Act. A SUNY Geneseo spokeswoman said that the school does not believe that it is infringing on any student’s right to free speech.
“Although we cannot comment on any particular student, SUNY Geneseo respects every student’s right to freedom of speech and expression,” the spokeswoman said. “By choosing to enter into certain professional fields, students agree to abide by the professional standards of their chosen field. At times, these professional standards dictate that students act and behave in certain ways that may differ from their personal predilections.”
Up until this school year, I taught Biology. When we reached the section on human genetics and reproduction, I would talk about how the X and Y chromosomes determined if a person was a male or a female. I would always get the question about transgender. My statement was like this: “When you get down to basics, the Y chromosome has one job: it tells the developing fetus to grow a penis, and tells it to develop male secondary sex and gender characteristics. So a person either has a Y chromosome and a penis, or they don’t. Male or female, that’s it. Anything else is not supported by biology and would fall into the realm of psychology.”
Every once in awhile, a student would reply with: “What about those born with intersex characteristics, where they have both sets of genitals?” To which I would reply, “That is a birth defect, an abnormality in fetal development. When children are born without arms, we do not declare them to be snakes, likewise, a child born with incomplete dual genitalia are abnormal. They do not define the rest of human development. Such individuals are less than one in a thousand live births, and do not excuse people with normal genitalia for the delusional belief that they can select their own biology, even when their DNA plainly states otherwise. That is a psychological problem, not a biological one.”
That statement would mean that I am not qualified to teach in New York.
The sign is misleading. Chapter 790 only prohibits weapons and firearms in a pharmacy, and even so, law enforcement and those licensed to carry concealed weapons are exempt. Since you are prohibited from carry firearms unless you fall into either of those categories, that particular law is redundant. There are no laws prohibiting a person with a concealed weapons permit from carrying a weapon in a hospital, nor do signs carry the force of law in this state.
Even so, the law prohibiting weapons in a pharmacy does not extend to the entire hospital, just to the portion of the hospital that is the pharmacy. This sign is deliberately misleading, which indicates to me that the SDA church (who owns the hospital) is being less than honest when it comes to this signage.
I ignore the sign and enter with my weapon anyway, and so do the criminals, apparently.
The guy who was arrested in the shooting is a 20 year old suspected gang member who referred to the victims as “opps,” street slang for “opposition.” A copy of the arrest affidavit is here (pdf).
