A town in Michigan is forming its own militia to resist Whitmer’s new gun laws. If they are serious and this catches on, it is alarming as a precursor to CW2.

WE will see how serious they are when the commie bitch in Lansing cuts their state funding, sends in the State troopers and busloads of Illegals…

That’s alarming? What’s alarming is the fact that no one is fighting back against the fascist takeover of America. Repubelicans put on lots of Dog&Pony Shows, while hiding behind cubic miles of Smoke&Mirrors. IMHO, it’s either get ready for CW2 or climb quietly into the cattle cars to the gas chambers. Fascists want to reduce the world’s population to less than two billion, if not one billion. So all of us have a decision to make, fight their fire with a hotter flame or die quietly. Your choice.

    100% this

The trick is not to make it a pointless sacrifice. You can try, then rot in prison like the J6 guys, your wife divorces you, your family winds up bankrupt, and your kids get raised by a foster family of pansexual FBI agents. Or you can be killed with the only mention of your sacrifice being “a mass shooter was shot and killed by police today,” or something else that shows you changed nothing after sacrificing everything.
Your fight has to make sense and have a chance of success, or you are just tilting at windmills.

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Virginia did this when it went blue back in 2015 or 2016 (?) Sherriffs in the interior all came out against enforcement of a bunch of laws, militias were proposed, even some sherriffs declared everyone of age and capable to bear arms was a posse member, automatically making them LE and exempt from certain laws.

MI may do something similar, but it will be quieter. I suspect not much is going to happen. Conservatives have to start winning elections here, or the state is lost.

I’m in Virginia, and attended some of the meetings at County Councils that proposed stuff like this… I saw a bunch of politicians (Sheriffs are Elected, therefore, politicians) Posing and Pandering to the Voters. None of them would Answer the Question (which was asked, a lot) if these Politicians would Organize and Lead an Armed Response to State or federal ‘law enforcement’ trying to ‘Enforce’ the non-Constitutional Edicts they were railing against. My conclusion, and that of others after the meetings I attended, was that None of them wanted to address the ‘Elephant in the Room’ of (un)Civil War.

I saw that yesterday and thought it was a very good idea, a step in the right direction. Apparently the state has several.

There really is only one way to see this:
It’s an obvious recourse to gun laws the citizens find egregious. ‘
One of the methods the left is taking to end-run enact stricter gun laws, is dissecting each and every bit and piece of the main defense our side uses – the 2nd amendment to the US Constitution.
Instead of reading the whole thing like an adult with an attention span longer than 10 words, they are cherry picking phrases and sections, re-interpreting them to make new meanings. Arguing the 2nd A only applies to militia members is back-firing spectacularly.

Instead of protecting citizens right protected under our founding charter, they attack it with the very tool used for its defense.

This is a very special level of stupid reserved for only a select group of people.

Ergo, we now have scores of militia’s organizing, training, and getting together to fight the very tyranny enacted to control them.

Whoopsie!
What’s that line from that old Newman movie? IT gets, what it wants!

Folks, it’s coming.
Grok that.
Nobody wants it, but look at this situation… The militias are forming in response to laws enacted removing the right to protect oneself from the government that’s enacting the laws.

THE LITERAL REASON THE AMENDMENT EXISTS IS NOW TAKING PLACE IN MICHIGAN!!!!!

The civil war will not be averted because the very actions they are trying to use to forestall it, are what’s causing it. The people running things know very well what will cause it, and are pushing the people in charge in order to cause it! They want it, as that will provide the window for them to seize power. They will get it, grok that. You can still fight against them while preparing for what’s coming. But make no mistake, it’s coming. Worse than you’ve ever imagined.

I can’t argue with a thing you just said.

    Jonesy · December 1, 2023 at 11:29 am

Well said…the timeline is the hardest part. Predicting the fall of dominoes, what events will get people to act…its all very hard to foresee. Like I mentioned above, I don’t think much will come of this near term, but big Gretch will keep turning the screws…maybe more counties will follow suit. MI is a red state aside from the population centers.

Part of me prays that if something is going to happen, let it happen soon while I am still capable of great violence. Let me deal with it so my kids don’t have to…..

nones · December 1, 2023 at 5:44 pm

How many FBI agents are already signed up for the militia? Like those idiots that tried to kidnap Big Retch. Weren’t 3/4 of them feds?

I think this Michigan thing is pretty much the same thing as the Colonies faced in 1774-75. The Royal Governor had dissolved their legislatures and had banned their militias. The Colonists kept them anyway and the militias trained for what everyone could see was coming.

We can see it coming too, but we’re too fragmented and there’s no cohesion or trust anymore, let alone all the spies and agents provocateur and whatnot. If we collectively were still worthy of freedom we’d be doing these things, but we collectively are not and the Bible has plenty of stories about what happens to places that turn their back on Him. That’s coming probably in the form of a commie revolution and collapse. But train anyway even though everyone else in the neighborhood is buying consumer $hit for “the Holidays” and is worrying about which sportsball team will win tonight.

I’ve watched here in Michigan the election fraud (always been 3%-6%) ramp up since the Kenyan and big Mike.
But……
No matter what party controlled the Federal government, whether it was republicans but even more telling when it was the democrats, our state government was always / would always stay solidly deep red.
My take on that was they were stealing the national election results, but letting our state elections be actually controlled by our real state vote numbers.
That is until 2022

This last election they just went full dictatorship, ignored any attempt to look fair and outright stole the entire state congress. Once they saw they could steal Trump’s election and get away with it without any consequences, they stole enthusiastically with both hands. And now the full commie dictums are being brought forward with vigour.
Michigan is a real dichotomy, it is a deep red conservative rural populace completely taken hostage by a hand full of liberal cities. But unlike say Illinois, that shitcongo control’s, the rest of that state still follows most of the libs agendas, green energy mandates and woke ideas. Michigan’s rural areas, on the other hand, are more like Oklahoma or Iowa, totally maga and as conservative as the deepest reddest of red. I think it’s because of the cold winters, lake effect snow measured in feet per year, vast forests and isolation from other states (can’t just drive to Wisconsin or other areas because of the great lakes barrier).

I think the probability of push back to Grestch the Wretched Witless governor’s fascism and dictatorship will show very soon.
It won’t be pretty, but will be long overdue.
