A Customs and Border Protection Officer has been convicted by Federal jury of receiving bribes in exchange for allowing drug and illegal immigrant laden vehicles to enter the US.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office estimates that George was paid between $300,000 and $400,000 during the time he worked with traffickers. Among the purchases George made with the bribe money include cars, motorcycles, and jewelry, prosecutors said.

Life in prison, no possibility of parole. Any
Proceeds from his activities to be seized and given to victims of the criminal activity that resulted from his deeds.

This guy will get hjs ass nailed to the wall for the arrogance of thinking he (as a mere prole) can be on the take. That’s a privilege reserved for the aristocrats, and he isn’t one.

Big surprise. Any CBP agent going along with the illegal orders of Mayorkas And Biden is a traitor.
“Just doing my job” is no excuse for going along with treason.

There is a belief that this is how a lot of very bad non drugs things that go bang are coming into the US. The corrupt BP wave the trucks through.

My personal belief is that a lot of very bad non drug things coming into the country are coming in cargo containers from China. I thought it very interesting how the Taliban buddied up to China after we walked away from Afghanistan .

A friend working customs at Los Angeles/Long Beach harbor said there are more of these guys than you want to know. They are difficult to catch. One reason is they have inside information; they know the schedules of which agent will be where and when. The larger reason is because other agents are unwilling to get involved (as witness, or participate in a sting) so turn a blind eye.
An agent can be transferred but is still in the same agency, so easy to find in the case of retribution.

Sad to see it, but too many people are lured by all that money. $400k just for one guy? And there could be hundreds or more involved? That is some big $$ operations.

Related, I wonder how many people are approached, say no, but are threatened…take the money and do it or else.

That guy is 30% of the entire CBP.

Another 30% is there for the paycheck and pension. They don’t do anything, bad, they just don’t do anything really good. Most of them are thoroughly incompetent anyways, so it’s a wash.

And 30% is actual hard-chargers that still give a rip, and want and try to do good work, when they’re allowed to.

The last 10% is middle and senior management, and they’re pure evil, working night and day for the destruction of the entire country pretty much every waking moment.

Seen all of the above first-hand.
