Dayuum. Save for damaging ones own car in the process, and the charges likely to be prosecuted against you for fooking up one of the govt’s preferred pets, that’s one hell of a move. I’m pretty certain they didn’t see that coming.
I’d probably do it under similar circumstances, if I saw no other immediate way out.

Kind of rough on vehicles in the neighboring lane, too. Although, if I were in a neighboring car and someone did this to deal with an attempted carjacking, I’d be okay with it.

yup. people don’t think. with a car/truck, you have at least 100 plus horsepower.
one move I saw was a guy put it in reverse and ran over the dumb ass.
and another one, the guy rolled up the window while holding the asshole gun arm.
he then drove him down the street a ways. smarter punks/thugs will try and grab your ride at a gas station. that is a much safer way for them to go. just keep your guard up when pumping gas
when you in or near a area where shit like this happens. or better yet, find a safer location to gas up.
