I looked up peak national average gas prices during Obama and Biden administrations, and both were about $5.70 corrected for inflation, compared to $4.53 today.
I wonder if she had a tantrum about gas prices back then.

I’ve got a few crazies on the wife’s side of the family (truth be told, my sister is a closeted liberal, too). They’re more than just different than you and me. Like we all took the same physics and chemistry in school, but they have a completely different set of rules and norms to live by. I’ve been running into it again recently through some corporate diversity training (new job dontchaknow). It’s not that there isn’t logic or a discernable pattern of thought, they’re not stupid. There’s typically a lynch-pin argument that everything is predicated on, that just isn’t so. Like the gender bending issue. Everything the leftists say almost makes sense, until you point out the whole X-Y chromosome thing, and their argument falls apart. But if you remove/accept that one lynchpin, they really do make sense. And I think that’s what it is? They’ve been mis-educated, and not taught to think, so they swallow the lie told to them, and run with it.
Try it, next time you’re around one of them. Don’t confront, ask sincere questions, and probe around the outside of the topic, you’ll see what I mean, there will be a subject matter buried way down deep, and they’re just completely off their rockers with that point, and build the rest of the story around it.

Pretty sure they constantly reinforce those linchpin arguments to each other, as well, especially via mainstream media. Not directly; they are simply implied loudly in the assumptions behind everything that is said. Not “global warming is bad”, more “government action is required because increased rainfall is expected to lead to more of these problems in future”.

“At the refuel pump station”. What an odd thing to say. I did a couple of AI queries on this, it’s not idiomatic to any culture of country when referring to a gas or petrol station. One AI likened it to a garbled machine translation. AI video perhaps?
