This is why I am opposed to the death penalty. A prosecutor caught fabricating evidence using AI:

Brianna Longoria was driving in Phoenix when she was pulled over for running a red light on December 29, 2024. The officer who conducted the stop, a woman by the name of Annette Hannah, pulled Read more…

This is one I’d actually be in favor of the death penalty…. For the assistant DA.
IIRC, Japan used to (don’t know if still do) prosecute the DA if ANY prosecutorial misconduct with maximum penalties handed out.

First, lets kill all the lawyers. The Eagles wrote a song about this:

Putting fake citations in an AI created court document should be punished with disbarment, and having to retake the bar exam in order to be reinstated. Six months suspension is just a paid sabbatical

Put it to the jury. The penalty the ADA faces should be at least the maximum sentence of the crime she lied about. When nothing happened to Nifong, crap like this was baked in. Then do the same with Bragg, “Tish”, Fani, whomever lied about Guiliani and the others, and keep going down to the cop who lied about the speeding ticket, or the “code enforcement officer” who thought your lawn was 3/8″ too long.
This does not stop until it’s personal.

Steve makes a good point about Mike Nifong (Duke lacrosse DA) who serves as a textbook example of malicious prosecution, withholding evidence, etc. for the Duke case as well as knowingly prosecuting an innocent man for murder. His only punishment was voluntarily surrendering his law license, eventually losing his DA job, serving a token one day in jail for contempt of court, and he declared bankruptcy. Plenty of attorneys have pointed out how it’s common for DAs to develop a thirst for “winning” and showing how “tough on crime” they are, even if they railroad innocent people in the process.

Am I supposed to believe she really passed the bar?

Suspended? For falsifying evidence and perjury? Any white lawyer caught would be imprisoned and disbarred.
The Georgia Bar has to disbar her or acknowledge that their legal system is broken.

Prosecutorial misconduct gets the maximum sentence the defendant was facing.

A happy ending to this story would contain the phrases “prosecutor disbarred and imprisoned” and “supervisor disbarred and fired.”
But happy endings are for fairy tales.

Death penalty: On the other hand, there’s that ex-FedEx driver who kidnapped, raped, and killed a 7yo girl. He admitted to the crime. He was sentenced to death. For something like this, the sooner, the better.

Another fine example of DEI hiring practices.
