I am from New Orleans. There is a cemetery in Mandeville, a town on the north side of Lake Pontchartrain, where my family history can be traced back more than 8 generations. We go to New Orleans often, and love staying there for little weekend getaways.
We were in New Orleans during Mardi Gras of 2020, along with a large contingent of my family. None of us got COVID, and we went to some of the balls, with my aunt riding on a parade float.
For 2021, the mayor of New Orleans cancelled Mardi Gras, the Jazz festival, and other celebrations, things that the city’s businesses need to survive. The promise was that they could be rescheduled later in the year.
That turned out to be a lie. Our government is destroying us. I am beginning to think that this is deliberate. If you wanted to destroy this country, I can’t think of anything you would be doing differently.

If you thought figuring out the motive was a tough pill to swallow, just wait until you come to realize what the only workable solution is to the predicament you – and ever other decent person, whether they even know it yet or not – find themselves in.
Fair warning: you aren’t going to like it. And most who do finally get their minds right in the realization stage – however late – simply will not have the stomach for the actionable solution stage yet to come. This is end of empire coupled with end of paradigm level dysfunction and all of the wreckage and misery that entails, so it’s understandably difficult for many people to accept. Normalcy bias is a bitch, eh?
Yes, war is hell. But its a hell that only lasts for some portion or this lifetime. Capitulating to the evil that runs this world just to avoid discomfort and inconveneice here and now means an eternity of hell. And fuck that noise. Evil begs for, and richly deserves destruction. You got the chops to do it? Because that’s where this is going and there is no opt out.
