Let’s contrast this. Here is a leftist:

Now let’s compare that post to this one from a prominent Republican who is opposed to the elimination of Florida’s property taxes. Click on this link to read the entire conversation: (this was removed due to confusion between two similar sounding names.)

There is no functional difference between the Democrats and the Republicans. Both parties want to take your money. The only difference between the two is which set of cronies are the recipients of your tax dollars that they they return to the party in question. It’s all a big lie.

I’ve said this tons of times: just because Democrats are your enemy doesn’t mean that Republicans are your friend. I’m sick of both parties, as all they do is take my money and my freedom while telling me it’s for my own good, because they know how to spend my money better than I, but it always seems to benefit them more than it does me.

Party of small government and fiscal conservatism, my white ass. I may just return to my previous philosophy of “voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil” and not vote for candidates of either party. I will, however, vote to cut taxes and strip the government of powers at every opportunity.

I won’t vote for a Democrat, but Republicans are going to have to earn my vote. Give me a reason to vote for you- don’t just talk about being small government, prove it.

The two most prolific opponents of cutting Florida property taxes I see on my feed are Jeff Brandes and Holly Bullard.

Holly Bullard is the chief strategy and development officer of the same institute. Her job is directing fundraising, policy advocacy, coalition building, outreach and communications strategies. She makes $110,000 per year.

Florida Policy Institute is a left of center NGO that specializes in collecting government grants, as far as I can tell. Their funding is part of a nearly impenetrable web of grants and untraceable funding. It appears to me as if it were another grift.

I’ve been voting “withdraw consent” anytime a chance occurs (usually as a write-in candidate) for decades. Voting FOR Mickey Mouse says you still agree to the process. Re other “people” – I vote against known problem people, if there aren’t any I just leave that part blank. ANY tax issues is automatically voted AGAINST.

The only person I have voted FOR since Reagan is Trump. Ever other vote has been against democrats. Voting against more taxes is at this point the only reason to bother. They are all grifters.

There ain’t no escaping… Until the system collapses under it’s own weight. And then it’ll be a Hobbesian existence until some bright lad reinvents government. And then the cycle will start all over again.
It’ll continue until Christ returns. History is full of stories of empires growing and dying. Nothing new under the sun…

If it were possible, I would like to see a Constitutional amendment outlawing political parties.

I dont think it would matter. There would still be factions and alliances

I read an article once (can’t remember the author, and I wish I could give him credit) that posited that in modern times, political party was a product of geography, not philosophy.

In other words, an aspiring politician (who will do anything to get into office) will run as a democrat in New York or California, and likewise, as a Republican in Texas or Wyoming.
At their core, though, anyone running for office inherently believes that government is fundamentally part of the solution, rendering politicians who are all just varying degrees of liberal.

A tax on wealth in the USA would shut down the growth of the USA starting from that moment on. All of the entrepreneurs would move elsewhere.

These people are breaking the 8th and 10th commandments of the Ten Commandments.

Again, I mostly agree with you. However, reality still exists and wishing for something better won’t make it so. I always vote Republican since I abhor evil and perversion. Governments are instituted and maintained by mankind and they are invariably corrupt – the trick is to limit the level of corruption.

    Divemedic · June 14, 2026 at 8:32 am

LOL. The Republicans are the same thing. Note the guy in this post was a Republican State Senator and is now the President of a Soros-funded, leftist community organizing NGO. They only say what they have to say in order to sucker people into voting for them.
How many times have we, as gun owners, voted for Republicans, only to see them ignore or even vote for laws that restrict gun rights?
Now there are Republicans doing it with taxes.
There is no real difference between the two parties.
You can’t limit corruption, the only thing you can do is limit their power. The first step in limiting that power is to take away as much of their funding as possible.

As but one example over thousands (if not more), I’ll favor a party that hosts a Spectacle UFC Fight on the South Lawn over one that hosts a freak show including a parade of topless trans-males on the same site.

Again, just because one is your enemy doesn’t make the other your friend. They are both evil, just one is more evil than the other.

Voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil. I understand your position, and I’ve been there myself, but I just can’t pull the lever for someone who is going to steal my money and give it to his friends. If that means I don’t vote for either party, so be it.

I would hope also that you understand my position. I don’t think we are that far apart, I just think that both parties are lying sack of shit criminals that will steal your money while patting you on the back.

I went through the same mental exercise. LMK when you get to the point you want to shop for a new spot of dirt in this neck of the woods (since Maine is TU)… Would be happy to give you the tour of ETN.
We’re on our own, truly. Best one can hope for is to go entirely off-the-maps, or try to get to the edges and hope you can lay low enough. No telling how big the fire’s going to get. Anywhere populated is going to burn. There’s a race war coming dontchaknow?
