This is exactly why they stopped teaching 1984 in High School.
The civilians/sheeple that make the argument FOR these systems are who you need to be afraid of. They are neither intelligent enough, nor brave enough, to stand up for their rights. They will be the ones who vote away your sovereignity and liberty for the appearance of safety.

This was the real genius of the Founders- they knew that people would abuse any power they were given, therefore they created a government with limited powers. Over the decades since, they safety mechanisms have all been bypassed because the people doing the bypassing wanted more power, which others were only too happy to abuse and usurp.
I believe the founders would be amazed at our technology, but terrified and disgusted in how it is being abused.

I mean this is hardly new, how many times in contempoary cinema do we hear about cops not under an offical investigation running plates? How many times to cops run plates when sitting idle to see if there’s anything interesting about who the vehicle is registered to? And for those that think the majority of copos will be on their side just see Portland, Seattle, and many, many other cities. Selective enforcement already exists. We are watching that happen real time in the hot zones. Think enough cops if told by TPTB that they need to go get the “others”? Go hunt them out? Oh you want to step out of line and quit or refuse to follow those orders? Shame enough cameras are out there to find you, and your family even if you vacate your home….
