A Mexican national in the US illegally was being taken into custody by ICE and tried to run over the officers with his car. ICE agents shot and killed him. The man’s son released this:
My father, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a hardworking Mexican man, was the man killed this morning by ICE in the East End. My father has been in this country for nearly 35 years, working in construction to provide for myself, my two brothers, and my mother. He was in the process of obtaining his work permit through the legal process. He was on his way to work, picking up his workers. My father did not deserve this. Please respect my family’s privacy during this time. There are a lot of videos and pictures out there of my father’s final moments that I do not wish to see. For more information, I will be speaking at a press conference, with the support of LULAC Tomorrow, Wednesday, July 8 at 10AM at The Greater Coalition for Justice – 150 West Parker Rd Houston, TX, 5th floor.
I note:
- How have you been “in the process of obtaining” a work permit for nearly 4 decades?
- If you want your privacy respected, the best way to do that is not have a press conference
- Pictures show him to be 52 years old, he illegally immigrated here at the age of 17.
On thing I do agree with is the need for an investigation. All law enforcement shootings should be investigated, just as citizen self defense shootings are. However, when and if the investigation discovers that the man’s wife is also illegal, she should be immediately deported. Of course, the sons are citizens and can’t be, but mom’s got to go.
Local politicians say:
We need answers, and Congress must act with meaningful immigration reform that reduces unlawful border crossings, addresses the backlog of asylum cases, and creates a pathway to legal status.
There is only one way to do that. If you create a pathway for illegals to become legal, you will simply get more unlawful crossings. The only way to do that is for Congress to throw open the borders and make everyone who comes in legal. You cannot have open borders and a welfare state. It is impossible for the two to coexist.
The illegal immigration ship has sailed. Too many people want the borders open. Our nation is about to fall. Keep prepping. It’s going to get ugly.

Congress could issue a contract to finish the Wall, put up watch towers, and set up a kill zone with armed patrols, minefields, and machine gun nests with interlocking fields of fire.
Granted the Berlin Wall wasn’t completely impervious, but it was time-proven as “effective enough.”
Then start rounding up all the “immigrants” who can’t provide valid papers and put them in concentration camps until their home countries pay to ship them back. If their home countries refuse to take them back, sell them off as slaves, as allowed for by the 13th Amendment.
The “anchor babies” can go with their parents or to state care, just like parentless American children.

The immigration fight is already lost. Its possible that 1 in 5, probable at least 1 in 7, and certain that 1 in 9 people here in the US are illegals.
Our national debt is $40 trillion. Thats $115,000 for every resident, or $350,000 per taxpaying resident. That debt is increasing by $2 trillion per year.
That is insurmountable as an issue. It isnt dooming or black pilling, its simply reality. We are long past the point of no return.

It was over at a $20 trillion debt and illegals plus “legal” uncompatible foreigners at half the levels they are now. It could have been fixed if hard dcisions were made 15-20 yars ago. Now there is no voting or policy making that will fix things. I just wish I could accurately forecast how it will unravel and the timeline over whick it will unfold so that I can be as prepared as possible. I think I’m ready for anything except unlimited nuclear war, grid down forever, or planet crushing natural disaster. All the other options will be inconvenient, but not fatal, for my close family/friends. At least for the next 20-30 years.

If it was thought that even 50% of the illegals let alone higher would vote against the Demonrats the entire border on both sides would be a DMZ since 1950.

So, this is a supposedly peaceful illegal immigrant. Who, tried to run over an ICE officer while being arrested. Not very peaceful.
And yes, I figure at minimum that my and my wife’s Social Security will be taken away in the not so distant future using means testing. I am wondering about our Medicare.
And if it gets really ugly, our home, bank accounts, and other properties will be taken away also to support the welfare state.

“….meaningful immigration reform that reduces unlawful border crossings….”
===========
I was a US Army soldier in Germany from 1974-78 and part of my job was to pull guard on the east German border.
Why are US Army soldiers NOT pulling guard on the US borders?
It seems to be the height of retardation that the soldiers are NOT protecting the country. WTF do they even exist?

“You cannot have open borders and a welfare state. It is impossible for the two to coexist.”
That is the plan.

A Modest Proposal
Hardly seems right that we are taxed to pay benefits to illegals, taxed to track down illegals, taxed to give them better health care and legal services that I get, taxed to deport, then reimport them when some judge rules such, etc.
And their own countries don’t want them back.
So hear me out. Don’t send them home. Send them to Libya. And sell them.

I think the blue states, cities, and any “sanctuary city” should be levied with a special tax to pay back the the rest of us for their unlawful payments to illegals. In addition any politician, judge, or government officer supporting illegals should have all family assets confiscated. If the left thinks these policies are OK, well sauce for the goose, right?
YourAverageJoe · July 10, 2026 at 5:30 pm
Funny how the big southern communist cities dont seem to have the rioting, burning and looting that is so popular in the northern communist cities and I think it comes down to citizens abilities to freely walk around with a gun in your pocket.

It should also be a crime (or a crime that gets punished) to knowingly hide illegals like the kids clearly were doing. Even if you can’t deport the familymembers which are citizens, they should go to jail, get financial penalties and criminal records.
