Most of this arrest report from Eustis, Florida sounds fishy. Reading between the lines, this arrest was made and his truck was towed to teach him a lesson about how to be deferential to his betters.
Three cops for a speeding ticket? Arrested for having his hands in his pockets? No, he was arrested for not kissing cop ass and for telling them to mind their own business.

Substitute “how is that relevant?” for “none of your business” and there’s a possible change in direction. Anyway, now he knows, first, to not speed, and second, to go around Eustis on his way to and from work.

Officious much? But then, not being there, one has to really ponder the overall interaction. Something I was taught ages ago by my Dad was whenever interacting w Police in an official capacity the answers are Yes Sir, No Sir and No Excuse Sir. That he learned in the Military.
It sucks… but pretty much you won’t end up face down on the pavement w a knee in your back.
Bummer that… but reading this, like Diverging Diamond Intersections and Roundabouts… I will be avoiding this particular FL Location with all due care.

My grandfather used to have a winter home in Eustis off of 19a. It was very common to pull out onto 19 or 44 and go from clear of traffic to someone riding your ass after pulling out in seconds. Don’t speed you say? Half the population of Eustis doesn’t know what speed limit means and the other half are the old folks that don’t either, but in the opposite direction.
On a side note, being familiar with the area adds a bit of depth to reading the series by A. American that takes place there.

He went to get his issue tint meter? AYFKM? I haven’t heard of them in years though most of the vehicles in my area are way beyond any ‘legal’ tint level.

Badgeholes being badgeholes, because they can.
Nothing to see here.
If they could have sustained charges, they would have.
At least they didn’t just shoot him, and then claim he was “reaching for a gun” he didn’t have.
So sue them for the arrest, and punish the taxpayers there for letting them continue in those jobs.
They don’t learn as fast, but the cities figure out who their problem children are, and they always end up paying for it.
