This is the 64th anniversasry of Starfish Prime, the largest nuclear weapon discharged space. It was 900 miles fro Honolulu, yet the EMP effects knocked out about 300 streetlights, burglar alarms, and a telephone company microwave link. The EMP damage to the microwave link shut down telephone calls from Kauai to the other Hawaiian Islands.[
