About the woman my wife and I used to teach with. Her masters is in a subject that is sought after by the Christians in Action. She just sent us a picture, taken at 6:30am this morning, east coast time. She and her coworkers are trying to burn all of the classified stuff that they can. She is still convinced that the government is going to get them out. After seeing the videos this morning, I can’t see that she is going to ever get out.

I already knew
I read about a school shooting in a New Mexico middle school. One 13 year old student shot another. As soon as the name of the school was mentioned, I knew what I would find. I also knew that an NRA member as unlikely to be involved.
The middle school was Washington Middle School. That school has 442 students enrolled, with 410 of them receiving free lunch. Eighty seven percent of the student body is reading below their grade level. Ninety percent of US schools are better than this one in reading and math. One in eight households are single parent households.
To get those absolutely horrid results, taxpayers are paying more than $11,300 per student each year. I would say that this money is being wasted.

YOUR safety and the safety of the nation’s blood supply? Well, that doesn’t matter. Their hobby of shoving cocks in their asses is more important, as they demand their ‘right’ to donate blood in the middle of an HIV pandemic.

On second thought
In an earlier post, I thought that counterfeit vaccine cards were the way to go. It turns out that I was wrong.
The FBI is going after counterfeit cards using 18 USC 1017. Here is what the law says:
Whoever fraudulently or wrongfully affixes or impresses the seal of any department or agency of the United States, to or upon any certificate, instrument, commission, document, or paper or with knowledge of its fraudulent character, with wrongful or fraudulent intent, uses, buys, procures, sells, or transfers to another any such certificate, instrument, commission, document, or paper, to which or upon which said seal has been so fraudulently affixed or impressed, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.

If you use an appropriated card that has the CDC seal on it before you get it, it seems to me that you are not the one who affixed or impressed the seal on the document. It doesn’t matter, of course. They will try to chuck you in prison. It is up to each person to decide for themselves if it is better to let them inject you, be a pariah, or risk prison.

I don’t think she will make it
There is a teacher that my wife and I used to teach with. My wife still speaks with her by text from time to time. She left teaching and became a DOD contractor. She has been working in Kabul for the last several years.
My wife was talking to her by text this afternoon and the said “Things are getting interesting here, but I will be fine.”
I told my wife that she will likely not see her friend again. The Taliban are not very forgiving of Americans, of women, and especially not American women. That poor woman will likely not survive more than a couple of weeks.
My wife thinks that I am wrong. I don’t think she really understands how truly evil some people can be. I am actually thankful for that. There is enough cynicism and distrust coming from me, and I am glad that she is not as jaded, hasn’t seen the evil that I have seen. I hope to keep her from ever seeing the evil that lies in the hearts of some people.
I just hope that things never get that sporty here in the USA, but I fear that they might.

This editorial talks about the costs of a miles driven tax versus a fuel tax. If I have learned anything about taxes and government in my time on Earth, it is this: A miles driven tax will not be *instead* of a fuel tax, it will be *in addition* to a fuel tax.
So using the writer’s numbers, a truck driver will go from paying $1,582 a year to $2,685a year, a cost that will be passed on in other ways.
Likewise, your average car owner will see their tax burden go from $306 to $1,359.
Like Reagan said: tax and spend.
Police State
We aren’t the violent ones
The Department of Homeland Security says if you don’t agree with the government’s response to COVID, you are a Domestic Violent Extremist.
I disagree. Those of us who disagree with the government and its response to COVID haven’t even BEGUN to get violent, yet. So far, the only violence has been on the part of the government, BLM, Antifa, and other left wing groups. Yes, you read that right- the government itself is a left wing group.
If even one in a thousand of the United States’ one hundred million or more gun owners decide to get their violence on, that would be somewhere around 100,000 armed, pissed off people to deal with. The people who look like everyone else, and can blend into their surroundings fairly easily. Many of these shooters are extraordinary marksmen, capable of shooting a paper plate from 200 or more yards away.
Keep in mind that the Taliban managed to occupy a significant fraction of the US military for two decades before the US became disinterested and finally got their asses handed to them. That is with a military whose supply lines, home bases, and manufacturing base was 10,000 miles away, safe from goatherders without the means to bring that violence to the home front.
Don’t tell me how easy it would be to find and destroy such a force. The US government can’t even control weapons and other contraband in its Federal Prisons, much less inside of an entire nation. For them to try would likely increase the numbers of pissed off resistance members 100 fold.

Aggressive driver
My wife and I will occasionally take a drive to a nearby city and spend the weekend. This weekend, we went to Orlando. On the way down there, we were stuck in a bit of traffic. While sitting in traffic where two highways came together in a merge, two black males in a minivan decided to pass a line of cars by driving in the breakdown lane and then cut in front of us. I would not let them get in front of me. The driver rolled down the window and began yelling and threatening me.
I was hemmed in on all sides by traffic, including a tractor trailer to my left. If I let him in front of me, he would have me trapped. I wasn’t going to let that happen.
My wife was busy telling me to just let them in. She was telling me to let them have what they want, which she believed was to get in front of us. I was busy drawing a handgun and placing it out of sight, alongside my leg. I wasn’t sure if this was a case of road rage, or the early stages of a carjacking.
This is what I saw, from the perspective of my dash cam, as he attempted to cut us off..
About ten seconds later, I was able to dart to my left, in front of the truck and get out of that situation.
