Anti American left

The news today is that Coca Cola is the latest company to teach white employees that they are all racists and are part of the problem. They go on to say that fixing this requires them to be “less white.” This is not a new concept.

At the beginning of each school year, teachers spend a day being trained on policy changes for the coming year. During the briefings in 2019, one of the meetings was with the discipline team. As usual, we reviewed discipline trends from the previous year and were then told how we were to address those issues.

When a teacher has an issue with a student being disruptive in class and the behavior is serious enough or repetitive enough that it cannot be handled in the classroom, that teacher refers the student to discipline. This referral process happens more in some classes than others. I teach the :underperforming” students, and the office admitted to me that they purposely give me the troublemakers because I am better at handling them. As a result, I wrote over 300 referrals the previous school year. Everything from fighting, to cheating, cell phone usage in class, sleeping, to possession of drugs (including weed and tobacco), and (once) weapons.

So that year we were presented with the statistics for discipline. Black students comprise 30% of our student body, but represented over 50% of our discipline referrals. We were told that this meant we as teachers were racist. That is faulty logic. In order for this to be true, black students would have to break the rules at the same rate as other demographics. I asked the team what percentage of our black student body was part of the “honors” track- the students who are likely college bound, and are all taking more advanced coursework, like AP classes. He asked why that was relevant, and I pointed out that honors students almost never are discipline problems.

He then said that black students had poor grades and poor test scores because the entire system was racist and discriminated against black students. I left it there, because my point was made. However, that is the attitude that is present in the USA today. In education today.

One of the reasons why Vegas is going broke is that its politicians have decided to be woke. When we were there in July, all bars were closed unless they were also restaurants. I don’t know why, but Democrats (who claim to the the party of science) seem to believe that I can catch COVID if I have a sandwich and a beer while in a bar, but I can’t catch it if I have a couple of Margaritas and some chips while sitting in a restaurant.

Anyway, the Clark county commission has voted to change the name of Las Vegas’ McCarran airport (LAS) to the Harry Reid airport. Apparently, this is because MCCarron, who was a Nevada Senator from 1933 to 1954, was instrumental in bringing aviation to the state, but had racist beliefs when viewed through the lens of today’s standards.

I guess Harry Reid gets a pass for saying that Obama was a great candidate for President because he was just “black enough” as a “light-skinned” African-American “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.”

Joe Biden’s dog, it was noted by a Newsmax reporter, looks disheveled. Then a fake account for the dog received a lot of complaints and was suspended. The press has gone nuts over it.

This is what the press is concerned with? No bias here, nope.

For those of you who are new to the blog, I retired from the fire department in 2011, after 22 years of service. After becoming bored, I decided to become a high school science teacher, a job that I have done for nearly 7 years.

One thing that I have noticed is a distinct degradation of the culture of our kids. The culture of Black teens is one of thuggery and crime. Violence and the degradation of women. The few black kids who buck this trend are shunned and called names. Too many of the kids who aren’t black hear this and want to fit in, so they begin going down the same road.

See how they dress. The females largely dress like prostitutes. The males wear hoodies, beanies, and COVID masks to the point that all that can be seen is their eyes and hands. It doesn’t matter if it is 90 degrees outside, these students are covered up. The reason is obvious: they are doing things that they do not want to be caught doing.

Rolling Stone magazine writes articles glorifying the culture. Here is a screenshot of the video:

The entire song is about how women are whores, and how they hate cops.

This is a culture that is bereft of any redeeming quality. To point this out, we are told, is racist because white guys carry guns, too.

There are too many differences in culture for America to not tear itself apart. I just can’t see how this sort of thing can be resolved without a split. Trying to force disparate cultures, especially when some of them are espousing violence against the others, is going to result in a civil war.

Mark Cuban confirmed that his sports team, the Dallas Mavericks, is no longer playing the National Anthem at any of its events.

The largest recipients of corporate welfare in the USA is sports teams. They get tons of tax breaks, including cities who build their business venues for them. The amount of tax revenue is small compared to the costs. So isn’t it time for the American taxpayer to stop funding billionaire owned business ventures and their multimillionaire employees? Let them pay for their own expenses.
