Something To Ponder

Communications between Donald Trump and his staff were being electronically monitored both while he was a candidate and while he was President. They probably are still being monitored. It doesn’t matter that the monitoring was incidental, it was happening.

At any rate, all of this has been going on while Trump was under Secret Service protection. With that in mind, there are only two possibilities:

The Secret Service was aware of the monitoring and allowed it to happen, or:

The Secret Service never detected the intrusion, interception, and monitoring of some of the most secret and supposedly guarded communications in the entire nation. If someone could read White House communications without the knowledge of the Secret Service before passing that information to Hillary, then any other nation (or even large company) with sufficient money and technology could do so as well.

So which is it: Is the Secret Service untrustworthy, or incompetent? In either case, they are wholly incapable of protecting the White House. The even more interesting question is who was behind it? Was it Hillary? Obama? Someone else?

Answer that question, and you will also know who is now calling the shots.

’24 Election: Stage Being Set

Remember my post from yesterday? The one where I told you that the left was accusing Republicans of plotting to overthrow the government, even though it was the Democrats that did so? In that post, I made the claim that things would get so bad as to seem surreal.

I am right again. The latest is that a retired Federal judge (a Bush appointee) claims that 2020 was a dry run for Trump and other Republicans to shift the 2024 election in their favor, regardless of the actual results. The judge claims:

January 6 was never about a stolen election or even about actual voting fraud. It was always and only about an election that Trump lost fair and square, under legislatively promulgated election rules in a handful of swing states that he and other Republicans contend were unlawfully changed by state election officials and state courts to expand the right and opportunity to vote, largely in response to the Covid pandemic.

He goes on to claim that “Republicans have grown increasingly wary of the Electoral College with the new census and political demographics of the nation’s shifting population.”

That is complete and utter horseshit. This very blog has documented the Democrats’ efforts to get rid of the Electoral College since 2016. In fact, just a few weeks before the 2020 election, CNN was campaigning for packing SCOTUS to eliminate the Electoral College.

You’re going to have to get rid of the Electoral College, because the people — because the minority in this country decides who the judges are and they decide who the president is. Is that — is that fair?” Lemon said.

Cuomo responded by noting a constitutional amendment — which requires two-thirds approval from Congress and three-fourths approval from states — is required to eliminate the Electoral College.

Lemon shot back, “If Democrats, if Joe Biden wins, Democrats can stack the courts and they can do that amendment and they can get it passed.”

No, it isn’t about the Electoral college. It isn’t about 2020. This is about power. It’s about twisting and rewriting the past to hide the Democrat’s obvious shenanigans in the 2020 election. It’s about suppressing the Republican vote in the 2024 election. The left is laying the groundwork for the elimination of any real choice in the 2024 election.

Coup Continues

The left continues accusing Republicans of plotting to overthrow the government, even though it was the Democrats that did so. The election was falsified, and now anyone who opposes or exposes what the left did is going to be ousted from power. Perhaps it will be a few Republicans, perhaps all Republicans who aren’t RINOs, or perhaps it will be the entire party.

This will all come to a head before the election. Hang on, shit is going to seem surreal.

Congress Shall Make No Law…

This is why the Disinformation Governance Board bothers me so…

Let me quote her directly: (pdf alert)

The commission would harmonize definitions of concepts such as terrorist or extremist content, hate speech, abuse, and disinformation across the Internet and ensure platforms are adhering to those definitions; define and require that platforms obtain informed and meaningful consent to their terms of service, serving as an awareness building mechanism about data privacy issues and the limits of speech on the platforms; serve as a neutral appellate body for users who feel their content has been unjustly removed; and conduct public audits of algorithms, account takedowns, and data stewardship. Most importantly, however, it would have the convening power to bridge the gap between industry, government, and academia, ensuring that these sectors no longer operate in isolation, or worse, counter to shared goals.

In the absence of the political will necessary to create a whole-of-society response to online disinformation, Congress must empower a professional, non-partisan commission to lead this charge, convene disparate stakeholders, and establish a shared understanding of the threat.

Let that sink in. She wants to control, by deputizing corporations, what people can and cannot say.

Pence

There are reports of some of the goings on behind the scenes on J6. That is, what was going on with regards to VP Pence. Democratic Representative Jamie Raskin of Maryland, who is also a member of the committee investigating the Capitol riot, is alleging that Pence refused to get into the limo to be evacuated from the Capitol because he believed that his Secret Service detail was conspiring with the Trump SS detail to disrupt the counting of the electoral college ballots.

[Pence] uttered what I think are the six most chilling words of this entire thing I’ve seen so far: ‘I’m not getting in that car,'” Raskin said. “He knew exactly what this inside coup they had planned for was going to do.”

That’s right- the Democrats are alleging that the Secret Service was engaged in a coup attempt to install Trump as the President. That not only was the SS involved, so was Trump and the entire crowd that was present at the protest march on January 6.

I wonder what the Secret Service thinks about that.

Dangerous

Just last week, Obama was making statements about being opposed to so-called disinformation. Now we know why. The Department of Homeland Security has announced that it is forming the “Disinformation Governance Board.” Reading the infographics that they are producing(pdf warning), this is some truly dystopian, scary stuff. This new board is deeming anything that doesn’t come from “trusted sources” to be potential disinformation. The page also links to a page that focuses on “Election Infrastructure Security.” This indicates to me that the election in November is directly in the crosshairs.

I don’t think it’s any coincidence that this was announced the same week that Musk bought Twitter and is saying he will stop censoring those on the right. Read from the statement:

Disinformation and misinformation propagated and disseminated by both domestic and foreign actors were listed as the first key factors influencing the heightened threat environment, with grievances stoked by unsubstantiated widespread election fraud conspiracy theories and COVID-19 mis/disinformation noted as inspiring violent extremist attacks during 2021.

So job one is going to be the silencing those who are calling shenanigans on COVID restrictions and election fraud. According to a statement made to the AP, “The spread of disinformation can affect border security, Americans’ safety during disasters, and public trust in our democratic institutions.”

I broke this blog away from blogger and onto my own server because I was pretty sure that the left’s big push was going to be centered on silencing those of us who would oppose this takeover of our government. It looks like that will be happening, and they are going nuclear with this sooner than I thought.

Expect sources of information that don’t fit the officially approved narrative to begin disappearing, and voices opposing the government to be silenced. Last year, I reported that the Biden administration endorses the “Christchurch Call,” a series of sweeping regulations to “eliminate terrorist and violent extremist content online.”

Scary times, indeed. I don’t think that this election is going to go the way that the polls indicate.

14th Amendment Lawsuit

A group of five constituents of Marjorie Taylor Greene filed a lawsuit aimed at disqualifying the Georgia Republican from running for re-election over her role at the U.S. Capitol last January. The lawsuit argues that Greene is ineligible to run for federal office under a provision of the 14th Amendment that was ratified after the Civil War. They argue that J6 was an insurrection that bars anyone involved from holding office again.

A Federal judge that was appointed to the bench by Obama is allowing the lawsuit to move forward. If the lawsuit is successful, you can expect it to be used against DJT. To me, this entire thing is a violation of Greene’s Constitutional rights because Greene hasn’t been convicted of taking part in any insurrection, and this lawsuit is then violating her right to due process.

I Was Right

Back in February of 2021, I posted a copy of a video showing Capitol police letting J6 protesters into the building. At best, this eliminated the chances that this was a crime, at worst it is evidence of entrapment.

Matthew Martin produced a similar video as a part of his defense to the charges he was facing from the J6 protest. The judge in the case found that he “reasonably believed” that police officers let him into the US Capitol during the Jan. 6 breach, finding defendant Matthew Martin not guilty of all charges. Let’s review that video again:

The Capitol Police officers are standing there holding the doors open.

The verdict represents an early test of efforts by some Jan. 6 defendants to argue that police allowed them to enter the Capitol, or that they believed they had permission because no officer told them to stop. The crux of Martin’s defense was that, in his own words, he was “let in” by two US Capitol Police officers who were standing in the doorway when he entered and made no attempt to stop him. He argued that one of the officers waved him through. Looking at the video above, it’s hard to argue that no one entered the Capitol building with permission.

This, one thousand times, this.
