USAID payments and funding were cut off by DOGE. I’m sure that it was just a coincidence that Politico didn’t make payroll for the first time ever.
Politico is owned by Germany-based Axel Springer SE, a global media holding company that was once publicly traded but is now privately held. The firm’s flagship publications and digital ventures are predominantly European, although its 2021 acquisition of Politico significantly expanded its US market footprint. This made the situation that despite being headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, Politico’s strategic and financial decisions can be influenced by its foreign parent.
We were told that foreigners can’t interfere in US elections. Even so, Politico has received more than 200 payments totaling more than $8 million from USAID. It turns out that the US government has turned the entire MSM into a disinformation, wholly government funded propaganda machine.
Even establishment Republicans are involved in the grift. Our entire government, both parties included, are busy stealing us blind.
But Andrew Natsios, who ran USAID under President George W. Bush and is a lifelong conservative Republican, calls such moves “illegal” and “outrageous.” What Musk and Rubio are doing “is criminal. They can’t abolish the aid program without a vote of Congress.”
So Trump is reorganizing, and placing USAID under the State Department, with Marco Rubio being in charge of it.
Burn it all down. Quickly, before someone succeeds in assassinating Trump.

Thing is…USAID birthed by an executive order by JFK. Not a damned thing they can do but whine.

I think it is safe to assume that the whole Politico “salary crisis” is engineered by A-S. It is a huge company, billions in annual revenue, a couple of million dollars here or there make no difference (I’ve seen their research facilities – if that’s how research looks like I can’t even image what they have in headquarters 🙂 ). But such a crisis is a good reminder to employees that they really need to try harder.

I don’t believe for a second that this one $8 million per year line item is the total extent of the money that has been flowing through there.
Half of Politico’s $200m annual revenue comes from its “Pro” subscription business. What I would like to see is just how much of that comes from US government accounts.

Entire revenue of Politico constitutes what, 5% of total A-S revenues? Obviously every percent lost hurts the bottom line, but not to the extent that there’s not enough money for salaries. Esp that their main source of income is related to tabloids and such. If anything I’d suspect a manipulation at the top of the company to exploit the workforce. A great opportunity to remind employees across all “high-end” media how much they really depend on their employer and its low-class audience. Also a good opportunity to maybe prep people for cutting some salaries in the near future? But whatever this is, it is not the end of Axel Springer.
PS Plus, remember that Doepfner’s son works for Peter Thiel, so things are much more complicated than it might seem on the surface.

It doesn’t stop there. Reuters got $10 million last year, and Pfizer got many times more. Pfizer and Reuters have the same CEO. Then there is the Financial Times in the UK, who got 2 million.

“Quickly, before someone succeeds in assassinating Trump.”
I was thinking something like this. Trump is ending the feeding trough of a lot of useless grifters. Stuff like this is what got Kennedy unalived. My guess is it will be FBI agents or some law enforcement agent agency.

Or the CIA again….

The key thing folks on the right miss is and for some reason wont accept, BOTH parties are involved in all this. So always voting for Repubtards wont change anything.
Our alleged 2 party system is a mirage. The people aren’t in charge and have no real say in anything, we are living in a fake world.
George Carlin had this so right.
BUT the real question, is what are these fuckers really doing off stage while they push this latest distraction for the sheeple out in front.

USAID gave over $34 million last year to Politico through various means.
That’s about 10% of their total revenue.
