Bear Grylls says that the COVID pandemic means that it has never been harder to be a young person than it is today. I am sure that the kids who lived through the Athenian plague of 430 BC, where two thirds of the city was wiped out would feel sorry for the kids of today.

Then there was the Justinian plague during the 6th century AD, which wiped out one quarter of the world’s population.

Or how about the black death of the mid 1300’s? I mean that only wiped out a third of the world’s population. This disease was so severe, that there are still traces of the loss of genetic diversity to be found in the DNA of people today.

The arrival of the Spaniards in the Caribbean in 1492 wiped out 90% of the indigenous populations of the Caribbean isles.

The Spanish flu of 1918 killed 50 million people worldwide.

Over a million died from the Asian flu in 1957.

But hey, that COVID pandemic with the 98% survival rate and the 10% infection rate is the worst EVER.

Yep “you are correct, sir!” it’s the worst thing that has ever been foisted on society. And for some reason, most people just accept it. It’s not questioned – the numbers that roll out constantly are not questioned. Fear the virus!

And so what ever happened to “question everything?”

The average age of those reported to have died from Covid-19/Wuhan flu is in the mid-70s to low 80s. The average age of deaths from the Spanish flu was 28!!! There’s no comparison.

The reason that it’s perceived as being so much worse is that westerners are self-absorbed and spoiled. We’ve lived in the most peaceful and prosperous time in all of human history, but we take it for granted. I wouldn’t trade my middle class western life to be a European king of 200 years ago. I’ve got indoor plumbing, clean water, hot showers, fresh fruit and vegetables year-round, and antibiotics. But all we hear is that western society and capitalism are bad and must be torn down. Ugh!

The Kung Flu hasn’t been bad on young people, but the unconstitutional power grab from government has led to a massive increase in the suicide rate of teens and even younger children who have been forced into lockdown-induced isolation.
