You remember when I blogged about the Kissimmee Fire Department getting 25% more time off, but making the same money? This caused a 56% increase in the fire department’s budget in a 2 year span. Then I reported how they weren’t finished, because the entire city put another 4% increase into this year’s budget.
Now in the latest story, the Mayor of the city has been arrested for fraud because she was channeling taxpayer funds to herself and to her family and friends.
The politicians keep telling us that Amendment 3’s passage is irresponsible and will cause government to have to cut services like police and fire.
Maybe those services do need to be cut. Not eliminated, just reined in a bit. Since the crooked politicians can’t seem to keep their hands out of the cookie jar, it’s time the taxpayers did it for them.
