If the South lost the Civil War why was it invaded by Federal Troops and law enforcement in the Sixties to enforce the 14th amendment? Always seemed like the South won. I believe only the service of Southern Whites in the military during the big wars which instilled in them a respect for authority and increased their wealth kept those time from going kinetic. I don’t believe they would have respected Stevenson like the did General Eisenhower.

That was the second American Revolution and the good guys are long overdue for a victory.
